Keep telling your boy that! Next time he should try punching rather than ballet.

I actually scored the fight a draw last night. When i judge fights I tend to favor the fighter who presses the action. Froch didn't do much last night but I thought he was the more effective aggressor. It's a shame that with all those natural gifts that Dirrel has he isn't a more aggressive fighter. He could have easily taken Froch out had he been constantly aggressive throughout the fight. I don't think Froch is really that great a fighter.

It difficult for me to reward a fighter whole bases his gameplan on holding and riding a bicycle for the entire fight. Good defensive "running" is great when it's called for but at some point you have stand and fight. Though I scored this as a draw I think a one point swing for either fighter would have been ok.

Right, because Europeans aren't nationalistic. That's one of the first things that pops in my head when I watch European soccer, football.

I agree. Everybody knew Froch was slow and limited long before he stepped foot in that ring.

Hey David - you must have scored the times when Froch hit air.
I think I counted 6 or 7 clean punches from him the whole fight.

The only thing Froch did good (because he got away with it) was to hit Dirrell at will with dirty ****in cheap foul neck punches. It was absolutely embarrasing to watch imho.

I was impressed by Dirrell's defensive skills and his counterpunching. He did allright although he ran and held too much. Not a good fight from him either. But he CLEARLY hit cleaner AND more often. Its a fact, dude.

How anyone can score this fight in favour of Froch is a mystery to me.

Your post is wrong on many levels.

1st. If you look at who is calling this a robbery on ESB, its NOT all people who predicted a Dirrell win. I didnt know what to expect from Dirrell like most of us on ESB, so this isnt about protecting our wagers.

2nd. The crowd is a worst influence then a tv commentator when trying to judge a fight. Were you ringside?

3rd. How did you have the first a draw? Dirrell landed his jabs. Froch didnt land crap.

4th. How did you have Froch winning the 11th? Really can you explain this one to me?

He wouldnt even be in the tournament if he was non-American,thats why i struggle to sympathise.
You think if he was an untested 18 fight novice from Lithuania he'd have got an invite?

Truth of the matter is that Froch is a plodding easy to hit banger who someone with Dirrells skill & footwork (See Taylor previouslly...!!) should have outpointed fairly comfortabley but instead , on foreign ground he opted to run & whinge to the ref which did him no favours whatsover......Kessler will take this fairly easily from what I have seen........

    Missing the point completely.

I'm not going to debate who won which round. In a fight with very few clean punches when most rounds could have gone either way that is ridiculous.
