All these dam ignorant, low level explanations from froch fans about styles but nobody HAS TALKED ABOUT FROCH LANDING SHOTS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T ,AND HOW YOU WIN WITHOUT HITTING THE OTHER GUYS FACE IS BEYOND ME, NOMATTER WHAT STYLE BOTH OF THE FIGHTERS ARE FIGHTING. Froch's glove did not land 20 punches on dirrells face the whole fight and dirrell was snapping froch's head back on a regular basis. YOU CAN ALL AVOID THIS POINT AND TALK ABOUT STYLES ALL YOU WANT BUT DIRRELL HIT FROCH WITH THE CLEANER, HARDER AND ONLY SHOTS THE WHOLE FIGHT AND THAT'S WHY HE WAS ROBBED. Everyone talking bout anything besides clean punches landing is blind or in denial.

I scored it 2x since everyone was crying robbery. had it 115-113 froch first time and 114-113 froch the second time(2nd time when in doubt I scored for dirrell). I am an american too, so no need for nationalism bias here. Just the way i seen it. It was an ugly fight and alot of the rounds could have been for either fighter or a draw. The people calling this a robbery are just pissed because their fighter lost a close fight.
You can always turn off the sound, which I find very advisable for anyone. However, you cannot turn off the Nottingham crowd.
Running should be driven out of the sport. Boxing should involve two people standing still and taking turns at punching each other in the face. No head movement or blocking should be permitted. We could decide who gets to punch first by flipping a coin, like cricket. Use of superior footwork to prevent your opponent holding-and-hitting you is basically cheating.
Bare in mind I watched it from a British stream in which both announcers said that Froch had to have the KO in the 12th round. The British fans on the message board for the streaming video were crying that Dirrell had won a wide UD because he ran all night. The only two people watching that scored it for Froch were the two incompetent or well compensated judges. What an embarrassment for boxing.
I just don't understand people complaining about the way Dirrell fought. I didn't think he was attractive, but Froch doesn't have a pleasing style either. But really, what does it matter? Don't you have to land punches win a fight. Maybe I'm crazy but shouldn't you have to hit the other guy to win? If one guy throws up and shits in his pants fights like a spastic, but lands more and better punches shouldn't he still win? Can anyone honestly say that Froch scored more? I don't understand how that's possible.
I agree, most don't really understand what a robbery is. That is the nature of the sport which I think just makes it more interesting.
