Truly shocked by Saturdays display, the poor lad looks a shadow of himself , simms has done nothing but make him look worse, terrible condition eddie hearn and simms should be ashamed of themselves serious bad handling on all levels, its over lets all admit it now even his most loyal fans, beltran fight was the end , looking back burns has never recovered from that night,, best of luck ricky you have had a great career, please retire before something terrible happens.

He was finished whilst with Billy.

I know you sweaty socks love to defend each other, but he was finished by the time the Zlaticanin fight came around.

It is, but he said himself he did the weight far too easily which raises questions about how he was doing it in the past.

That's what I have been saying his conditioning for fight was shocking, he was always super fit when with Billy. His nutritionist should be struck off, either that or they work behind a counter at McDonalds

I would agree he looked fleshy and was able to make the weight easy!

What was the point of moving up a weight for 1 fight ? Something isnt right with Burns think he's lost his mojo, looked pretty poor imo.

He showed little glimpses of what he could do but there wasn't enough of it and the only time I really thought he was doing his best work was the beginning of the 8th but then it fell back into the rest of the pattern of the fight where he would just stand with Lepelly and bang away with him.

I'd even go as far as saying Mitchell was the end that was the last time we seen a quality Ricky Burns after that he started to believe he was a puncher and that's where all the wild swings were coming in and even on Saturday night I half cringed when he knocked Lepelley down because I knew he would start swinging for the fences, I'm a Scot and a fan of Ricky but I'm not wearing rose tinted specs either and I'd rather he walked away but if he has 1 more fight up here i'll be there to show my respect to a great Scottish fighter.

Ricky looked the shadow of the fighter he used to be, but in fairness he's been like that for a while.
If Burns wants to continue and give it one last shot then I think he should change trainers and move to the Master Coach Joe-G. At Gallaghers Gym he will get top sparring and Joe-G will take care of his nutrition. Burns needs discipline and Joe-G's the man. I mean say what you want about Joey he runs a tight ship and his record speaks for itself.

Ricky needs to stay away from Scotland Billy. You know with the family, home comforts and bad habits etc etc. I'm sure you will agree the move down to Ess.ex hasn't gave him the boost that everyone said it would. In fact Ricky at the weekend looked like a seasoned holiday rep straight off the plane from Magaluf! I heard Sims mentioning nutritionists live on TV and that came across very unprofessional IMO. That's why Ricky has to give Joe-G a call! Joe-G will give Ricky the kick up the hole he needs! And if Ricky doesn't pull his weight Joe-G will throw him out the door and his feet won't touch the ground.

As for Celtic 1888 did you not see us WIN in the European scene during the week. Another great European night!
