He was terribly mistreated by Hearn, who couldn't wait to virtue signal and throw him under the bus as the usual suspects like Bellew howled on Twitter. No way a guy like Davies would have known of the Hillsborough-Sun-Mackenzie link.

Davies was completely bashed physically and mentally by Josh Taylor, but he'll make for some entertaining fights with BT.

    Catteral pummels him imo.

Good decision to move to Frank with Flanagan and Catteral fights on the horizon

Catterall has never fought a puncher and imo gets completely overrated for his wins against average fighters but I will give him the Tyrone win but Tyrone IMO gave that win to catterall

Eddie hearn was always gonna cut ties after josh Taylor schooled him, hearn says himself boxing is about levels and that night OD showed his. The tweet was just an excuse for hearn to dump him. I don't see it as a victory for warren eating hearns scraps...

He didnt though did he? Literally carried on as normal. He knew ohara was a good undercard filler, something Hearn is rrally lacking at the moment.

Fact is Matchroom have a lot of scousers so he had to do something.

I don't believe OD said what he said with the intent to upset, offend and hurt that many people. I believe he wasn't educated on the subject, but..

ignorance is never an excuse, if you don't know what you're talking about then shut up or don't comment.

Hearn had no real choice but to cut him loose, we live in an age where people are fired all the time for their comments/behaviour on social media and even their behaviour outside the work place.

Most employers have clauses in employment contracts now about a responsibility not to damage the company reputation with your behaviour, even outside of work hours.

With Hearn it is no different, he runs a business, he had a responsibility to act, if he didn't the same people who are hammering him for cutting OD loose would be slaughtering Hearn for not being hard enough on him.

OD just went too far and has paid the price, he is a grown man, you have to take responsibility for your actions so you can't slaughter Hearn for cutting him loose.

Whether he meant it or not, he’s just not a very good boxer. He’s an undercard fighter at best. Not even a chief support. He’s never going to world level.

I agree. Did Joshua get dropped with his racist comments? No and they were derogatory and potentially offensive to a hell of a lot more people than were affected by Hillsbrough.

How many former Matchroom fighters in the last year has Warren signed, mostly directly from Matchroom. Imagine thinking that 2 years ago.

Good on him I say, I thought Hearn & Bellew were bang out of order with the way they treated OD. The poor bloke did absolutely NOTHING wrong & was thrown under a bus by Hearn to please the scousers unjustified complaints.

Can anyone actullay explain to me what OD did that was so bad? He made reference to the sun newspaper in retaliation to Tommy Coyle who has his own personal gripe with that media outlet, Tommy Coyle isn't even from Liverpool so what has this got to even do with Hillsborough?... A few scosers jumped on the bandwagon & claimed he must be refering to Hillsborough and then a witch hunt began against him. Amazing the power of social media can have on swaying the public opinion.

Are you really that arsed? He’s a mediocre fighter who’s going to go on to have a mediocre career.

It’s genuinely sad times when more people know who he is than Terry Flanagan.
