How would you see this matchup going? Too early for Davies? or will his power win him the matchup? Thoughts?

Davies has never fought at Welterweight and he took out Derry who was a career Lightweight. Davies still needs to prove that his power is legit. Khan has taken shots from Maidana at 140 so I think you guys are being OTT for saying Davies would KO Khan. Davies has not proven that his power is anything special yet.
I'm pretty excited about Davies, I think he could beat Khan at this stage. Khan did indeed survive Maidana like you said and for that he has credit, but one performance where he showed durability doesn't cancel out dozens where he folded like origami.
He beat a weight drained maidana whilst barely surviving the later rounds with his skull still attached to his torso. A 147lb maidana would Ko Khan back to Bangladesh without question.

We dont realy know how good davies is yet. He hasnt been in with anyone of real note and whilst i so agree he looked good vs derry, derry even in his prime didnt really get past british lvl and the derry that fought davies was past his best and above his weight. He never took the tyrone nurse fight and if they were that sure of him at this time theyd of taken it. Amir still has enough to beat davies and even morr so at 147. Im not sold on him just yet but i do like the kid, he comes accross as a black david brent lol
