yep, he had one of the all time bad ass "aura's" ,,,, it was if he had the power to knock anyone out before they could stop him, personally I loved it :bbb

the aura I mean, lol, I didn't believe it myself because I knew he could be beat, but the hype that created around him was freakin entertaining :smoke

:good I'll be honest I thought he was unbeatable at that time, I didn't see a heavyweight in that time that had what it took to beat him.

I was wrong  Douglas was excellent that night, the uppercut he threw that was the beginning of the end would have knocked out most heavyweights, Tyson did well to get up.

great point, one thing that goes un-noticed more than anything from that fight was how tough Tyson was to get up and nearly knock Buster right back out, it was a awesome display on both their parts. Plus Tyson walked through some very solid shots before he was finally floored that was pretty impressive at least imo.

I am not saying he was tougher than Holy or some other greats, just saying he was not the quitter he is made out to be by too many.

:good spot on, taking nothing away from Douglas who has just lost his mother and obviously had his own personal issues but quite a few said Tyson was out of shape and didn't train seriously before Douglas but he took some seriously heavy shots right up until the end.

There is footage of Tyson getting dropped in sparring before the Douglas fight on YouTube.

Tyson didn't look right to me against Douglas and the corner work in the actual fight with Douglas was shocking. They were trying to stop a swelling with a glove filled with water because they didn't even have an endswell.

Regardless of what is said now about Tyson he was tough and must have had a great chin back then if you watch that fight and see what he swallowed.

Maybe it was his lifestyle, prison and other factors took all those great attributes away from him later on in his career.

people get mad when I state that Tyson had a short prime but his focus when he was younger imo was far superior to his focus later in his career, that's one of the main things that made him so dangerous in his prime.

If AJ loses no one will bat an eyelid, he is nothing compared to what Iron Mike was like when he was dethroned by Buster, AJ is an overrated roid head who is getting big time one day, Fury would humiliate the bum.
