One thing I cannot understand is how anybody could have that ****ing fight as a win for Trinidad. Sure, it was a close fight and Oscar lost ten, eleven, and twelve. Even if you had it a draw, I would disagree but that is still a fairly respectable outcome. But which SEVEN rounds do you Tito fans think he won?

I had Oscar winning, but I have no problem with those who want to call it a draw. But I definitely don't feel that Trinidad deserved the nod.

I especially don't see how someone could say that Tito deserved the decision in this fight, and then turn around and say DLH didn't deserve the decision against Quartey, Whitaker, etc.

Tito officially won, but everyone who saw that fight knew who the better fighter was in that ring.

this one is easy, though not a great fight to defend

oscar EASILY won the first 8 rounds. therefore by my maths he won the contest via winning the majority of the rounds. simple.

but what amused me about oscar in that fight was the constant running he did after round 8. seriously he never stopped.

having said that, if the judges were doing their job correctly, they would have given oscar the first 8 rounds, then the remaining rounds to tito for chasing oscar.

BUT those rounds where oscar virtually ran do not make them 10-8 rounds etc. i mean, that would be the only way tito could have mathimatically won the contest. tito was pretty bad at cutting off the ring while oscar did the spinks moves, so while he clearly deserved the rounds, he didn't deserve any extra points for trying to play the coyote chasing the roadrunner.

ugly last four rounds, but first 8 was a boxing lesson by oscar. not pretty but technically oscar did the job.

but it should come down to simple maths.
no knockdowns,so who won the most rounds?
    its oscar isnt it?
his 10-9 rounds are the same as tito's,on his toes or not.and he DESERVED more than tito.

Round 1 was even. Rounds 2-3 for Oscar. Round 4 for Tito. Rounds 5-7 for Oscar. Round 8 for Tito. Round 9 for Oscar. Rounds 10-12 for Tito.

    115-114 for Oscar.

It's really amazing that this is still discussed after all these years. Oscar huggers just can't let it go. That was the first time I ever saw a Mexican run away from a fight. Spin it however you want but the bottom line is Oscar ran away. And yet, as proud as the Mexican race is of their bravado, they still worship and adore Oscar after showing cowardice that night. A Mexican not standing up for himself and now the pictures of Oscars hidden fantasies of dressing up as a woman hinting he is bi-sexual are all over the internet and they still cling to him. It's mindboggling to say the least.

It was not a robbery (possibly the most overused term in boxing), but you still have to be pretty damn generous to Tito to give him the fight.
