Remember what i told you guys ?

    The smallest mistake....

I know it's not a consolation....But werdum is also the only other guy who submitted Overeem in mma in his entire career..

Better to see a loss like this , against the most decorated jiujitsu artist in the entire sport , than to see him lose by cut or ko.. I think it's sad that some of you guys are gonna be "done" with the sport because of this fight.

damn ! ...the impact of this loss for the mma world is as big as tyson vs douglas was for boxing... Fedor had this invincible aura ...He had a fantastic run though. It's a real shame that he lost but i'm not as mad as i thought i'd be...just disappointed...Werdum is such a nice guy & classy professional that i can't get super pissed about what happened..

Im not sure it is. Fedor had an improbable and almost impossible run for over a decade. He dominated everyone he fought with wins over some of the best heavys in the world.
He's star is waning there is no two ways about that.
Im just glad it was Werdum and it happened outside of the UFC. As this proves again that the best heavys are simply not in the UFC despite all the schill out there that proclaim it so loudly.
Werdum is one of the best BJJ practitioners since a prime Nog. He's ground game pistol whips Mir who apart from a shot Nog is the only equivalent in the UFC. The rest apart from JDS are completely unproven. Even JDS is to some degree.
Im sure somewhere Overeem is licking his lips and theres a queue for Fedor now. Im sure he'll avenge the defeat and may be retire. He's legend is already built and his been a magnificent servant of the sport.

Mike on the other hand (even though im a massive Tyson fan) was just well... Mike.

its not like a GSP losing a TKO to a BJJ guy or Silva losing subs to Japanese bums, we're talking about a guy who beats up top grapplers in the world... On top of that Fedor was trying to finish the guy in his own game

Theres no need to be. Fans set unhealthy expectations. ALL of the greats get beat. Fedor has only been legitimately beaten once which was tonight. His record is simply unmatched and will more than likely never be repeated.

Fans have insane , inhumane expectations...The guy had a fantastic run...unparalleled. But he's still human ffs...I was dreading this day but since this defeat is coming from werdum...the impact is not as shocking as i thought it would be...

I have no problem with it whatsoever. Werdum is one of the BEST grapplers in the world. What makes me laugh is the UFC unceremoniously dumped him and he comes and does this in a rival org. You can bet your bottom dollar Dana is pissed as hell.
