Ok honestly, who was more of a shot fighter?

have to say DLH, his legs looked like toothpicks, he was slumping around the ring. mosely looked great for 2 rounds, then turned about as bad as DLH fought for his whole fight.

thing is, DLH lost a SD against floyd, and round, what, 8? against pac.
hatton lasted 10 with floyd, 2 with pac. but hatton was off his game, jumping around like that.

so the real question is, who is a better fighter, pac or floyd, and the answer is..here it comes folks....

WE DO NOT KNOW. THEY HAVE NOT FOUGHT YET.

DLH looked like Skeletor's little brother that night. Shot and weight drained is much worse than Mosley being a little older and a little slower.

This shouldn't even be an argument.

Oscar looked like **** on legs in that fight. It was as if his body was moving two steps behind his brain. The only thing that kept him in that fight was his chin and heart. He basically looked like a mummy from the word go.

Shane's problems (aside from Floyd's skill level) were he was prob overtrained from preppin for Berto then Floyd, but mainly he was TOO DAMN TENSE. He wasted a ton of energy being too tight, jittery, and over feinting. That being said; he still showed much better defensive and offensive reflexes than Oscar did. Shane was just so damn nervous that he looked shot.

I don't care how you rate Mayweather or Pac. I realize it's hard for some of you to give out credit to a guy you dislike. Totally understandable. I mean if some douchebag showed up at my doorstep and asked for the money I owe him, I'm gonna be very reluctant giving him what he wants regardless of whether he deserves it or not. Whatever though. The majority of fans have Floyd and Pac as two of the best fighters on the planet. Let's just go with it. In my opinion Paul Williams beats either guy quite convincingly. But for now Pac and Floyd are at the top and I can respect that.

If Oscar needed IV shots before the fight, there's no way you can say that you don't care about them and he didn't have trouble making the weight. Why else would he be dehydrated if he didn't have problems doing it? Then you say Mosley looked bad since Cotto? Try telling that to Cotto and especially Margarito.

    My answer:
De La Hoya was done. Mosley is not at his best, but he has more in the tank than Oscar did. Oscar could barely move and couldn't keep his hands up to guard properly. Mosley can still punch and has good speed, where as Oscar had no power or speed and looked like he was in quicksand from the very first round.

Jeez both these guys are over the hill, Oscar was more over the Hill because of the weight but Shane at 38.8 wasn't too far behind. the older you get the more speed and reflexes you lose. The lower the weight class the worse it is. I can't believe there are people here that will discredit 1 win while they hype the other, when in fact the wins are very similar.

It was hard to predict if shane was gonna bring it fight night as he had been layed off for 15 months, which is a long time for someone at his age. I don't know if oscar was shot but he was definelty weight drained but of course you are gonna be shot if you are drained as well. Both had observations that there sparring partners were whupping there asses. I mean come on you put a hungry valero in there with a shot oscar and of course hes gonna kill em.

De La Hoya was weight drained. Mosley wasn't "shot".

Yeah I'm with you. Inactivity and age catches up with many fighters but it's a bit too early to put the label "shot" on Mosley just yet because he lost to an great fighter. Also, enough with people bringing up the Mayorga fight, Shane had to fight a lightheavyweight basically and to add to that it's pretty hard overall to look good against him anyways. Old or not Mayweather would've given Mosley hell regardless.

Not even close! ODL was dehydrated and fighting at a weight he hadn't fought at for years. Mosely fought at his natural weight and coming off a win over the top dog........NOT EVEN CLOSE:deal
