Holyfield would have his moments if he uses his boxing ability. As soon as he gets sucked into a brawl though,George knocks him out.

Foreman by tko within five stanzas.

Ali never outsmarted any1 . Especially not Foreman .
It was a well executed crime conducted by Dundee , Ali and probably Don King and others .

Foreman would take Holyfield in six rounds, Too much strength and power, this version of George.

I think Holyfield has the tools to get this done but in his prime he might take the wrong road at some point. Weirdly, older Holyfield might be a better bet, not meg-ancient-Holyfield, but Lewis era Holyfield. The smart fighter that knows how to stay out of trouble but still has an iron jaw to get him out of trouble, the guy who slowed the Lewis fights down to a snail's pace...he'd have a good chance, too.

No way Cobra. Holyfield has an iron jaw. Norton wasn't as smart, sharp or as tough.

Your not blasting Evander out early, I don't care who you are. He would get hurt doing something stupid but he was a great survivor.

I don't think Foreman would be able to keep the pressure on Evander for 12 exhausting rounds, and would get decisioned or stopped as he slowed down.

This is what I figured as well. Tough match to call. It would be interesting to see who can exploit the others' weaknesses more.

I still think Holyfield wins... Evander's heart, chin, conditioning, boxing ability and precision punching - minus George's improved defense and patience at pacing himself, still amounts to a Holyfield win, even if we're looking at a much younger and more devastating George..

Young Foreman was Hungry , Brutal ,Nasty and would not be satisfied and stop punching you until you developed cardiac dysrhytmias and beggining stage renal failure. So Holy's heart attribute isn't a factor since it would not be beating properly and would be at risk for impaired tissue perfusion.Foreman!!!!

    I agree.

Foreman was very strong and I could see him knocking Holyfield down but not keeping him down. I think Holyfield would box him when he had to and bang with him when he had to.

Big George would need to use his jab in a fight like this and didnt always use it like he shouldve.

One thing that Holyfield could do well that most heavyweights cant is move and punch off his movement. He had the coordination of a smaller man. Thats why he would beat George Foreman IMV

Two of my favorite fighters, especially Holyfield when I was growing
up. I just dont think Holy can hurt 73 George. The most devastating
superheavyweight destroyer vs a blown up cruiserweight. Holyfield
has the goods in every department but George was a force of nature.
He might not look that big now compared to modern superheavies
but Foreman was way stronger than he looked. As for Holyfields iron
chin look what hapened to chuvalo. Id favor holy over most superheavies
    not 73 George though.

I'd confidently pick Holyfield. He's smart enough to know the danger exists almost exclusively in the first half of the fight and is certainly capable of keeping away from it for extended periods if need be, tough enough to take what George does manage to hit him with, strong enough to stand his ground from time to time, and simply too good for an exhausted Foreman to last with. Holyfield TKO11. While considerably more dangerous than the old version Holyfield actually took on, young Foreman's far less relaxed & conservative style won't see him make it to the finish line this time around.

It has to be George, too naturally big, his arms are bigger than Evanders legs! And all the heart in the world would not be enough in this matchup.

    I'd still pick Evander.

As Larry Merchant once said of George, "He was a tremendous destructive machine, but with flaws."

Holyfield would not be stupid enough to brawl with George. Holyfield got caught by Cooper because he was expected to get rid of Cooper quickly, and stood his ground too much as a result.

Here, Big George's maneater reputation would ensure Holyfield would not make the same mistake.
I'm sure Holyfield would be the underdog, and he fought his best fights when the underdog.
He'd rise to the occasion and stop George late.
