I was at Tyson-Ruddock I, Tyson-Bruno II and Tyson-Mathis. I have been to many, many fights. But I will tell you this. There is NOTHING as electric as the atmos[here at his fights back then.

One of the best, but little known, fights I was ever at was Bronco McKart-Aaron Davis...a VERY GOOD fight won by Bronco over 12 rds (10 or 12, not 100 pct. sure)

Judah - Mayweather was a great fight to see live. People don't seem to care for it that much, other than Mayweather haters exagerrating Zab's performance saying that he was beating Mayweather badly early in the fight, knocking him down, hitting him a lot, etc etc Of course realistic fans know that Zab won early rounds, but not by much, and only hit Mayweather cleanly a few times. It was just a fight with a slow beginning, and Mayweathe knew is time would be better spent in letting Zab wear himself down a bit while he figured out a style to beat him. And the knockdown of course was nothing to be worried about. Zab hit Mayweather, and Mayweather having such fast reflexes and being so quick on his feet, he stumbled while trying to move back. His glove did touch the canvas, but it wasn't to keep him on his feet. From were i was sitting, only about 25 yards from the ring, it looked more like his glove just brushed the canvas.

After the early rounds I thought it became a really cool fight. Mayweather fought the middle-late rounds using a style very similiar to Winky Wright's. He came forward with his guard up high and then threw straight rights, jabs, and great body shots. Every time he landed a body shot Zab bent his waist and got a look on his face like he was in a lot of pain. Zab's intentional foul I believe was an attempt (a successful one of course...) to give him an opportunity to rest. Before the fouls, Mayweather was hitting Zab at WILL, with hard power shots. Zab seemed real hurt, and he was also hurt to the body pretty bad. He kept holding his elbows real close and low whenever Mayweather would come in to start throwing. Zab was so concerned about protecting his body that Mayweather had no problems figuring out Zab's rhythm and landing straight rights when Zab wasn't expecting them. I thin if Zab hadn't forced the action to be stopped I believe Mayweather would have forced a stoppage or for his corner to stop the fight. I think Mayweather probably could have even knocked him out. People say Zab lost control of his emotions and thats why he trew those two bad fouls... but I disagree. The look on his face right before he did it was this desparate fear it looked like. I thought it looked like he was trying to figure out what to do to stop the action, and right as I thought that, he threw those fouls.

After the 10th started back up again, Mayweather was totally thrown out of his rhythm, and I think if there was a 13th or 14th round he still would have stopped Zab.. but just didn't have enough time to get things going agin in only rounds 11 and 12.

I was also at Taylor - Pavlik and Pavlik - Taylor II. Both were tremendous fights, and it was so cool seeing so many fellow Ohioans. It was also really cool to see Kelly wearing OSU colorss much like Taylor wore Arkansas colors and logos. People have told me that they feel Kelly Pavlik is chinny, but I'd say he actually has a great chin! In his fiirst fight with Taylor, yeah one right hand HURT him.. but after that Taylor just started winging this big right hooks at Pavlik as hard has he could. It was seriously frightening to see how hard Taylor was throwing that punch. The HBO broadcast of the fight makes it seem like Taylor didn't land many I think, but when Taylor really landed SEVERAL of those hooks on Pavlik in row, it was only after like 8-12 BIG right hooks that Pavlik actually went down.

It was also amazing to watch Pavlik punch, because on TV it doesn't necessarily look like he has much on his punches... but in person, DAMN it looks like he punches SO hard.

Why do you capitalise the first letter of each word like that? And I'm not just breakin balls on this... I really would like to know. To me at least it makes it hard to read. It makes me pause after each word for some reason. So it reds like "I, want, a, burrito, for, my lunch." Instead of reading it smootly like, "I want a burrito for my lunch."

    Just curious.

Ive been to many, but what stands out to me was Cotto-Judah.. MSG was rockin!! Place was sold out! Half where Judah fans and half where Cotto fans-- made for an electrifying atmosphere that does not compare to anything I attended.

Gatti-Ward 3 for me. I haven't been to a ton of fights, but the crowd at this one was just electric. While most of the fans were for Gatti, for obvious reasons, the crowd cheered almost as loudly for Ward. They were both two of my favorites of all time and to see the end of that historic trilogy in person was simply amazing. Some say they liked three better than one, but I liked the first one the best, but as far as big fights I've been to it was Gatti Ward 3

To answer your question: I was at one of the Holyfield-Ruiz fights, the one held here in Connecticut..I got in without a ticket (I have my ways :) and still ended up sitting right behind the HBO announcing team. I was sitting with Marlon Starling (we both got in the same way :) and at one point he said something like, "See, this is why I would never come back." Meaning that Holyfield was older and obviously just couldnt fight like he used to. The fight, man, there was so much holding, grappling. Those two guys, their styles meshed well in NO way.

I also was there for Julian Jackson-Terry Norris...it was in A.C., the first big fight I had ever been to...I honestly thought Norris was dead (after he REALLY outboxed The Hawk badly in the opening round)

Cotto-Judah was a fun fight to be at. The atomosphere at the Garden was just electric that night.

Next month I am going to Vegas for the Coto-Margarito fight. I can't wait for that one!
