Nobody gives a **** that Bj Flores came back in dominant fashion. Sure hope BJ gets another crack at a title.
He needs to improve drastically if he wants to win a world title, all the current beltholders beat him IMO, and most of the top contenders probably do aswell (Hernandez, Frenkel, Lebedev, Tarver etc...)
The CW scene is WIDE open right now. I think Tarver is probably tops on the list right now, and should look to unify before the year is out. If BJ could get a fight with Frenkel, Olafabi, or Hernandez, I'd take him to win it. I had him over Green, yeah I was wrong, but BJ was timid for some reason. He didn't appear timid last night making quick work of Innuzi. I like him as a fighter and a personality. I'll back him against any of the top 10 contenders, and probably be proved wrong again, but the guy is hard to dislike.
I thought he'd beat Green as well, and I was very dissapointed with BJ's performance in that fight. Like you mentioned, he was timid and struggled to get any sustainable rythm going. I too think he's a nice guy, and I wish him the best, but unless he goes into a fight with a top fighter (Frenkel, Afolabi) and uses his clear physical talents to the best of his ability, then I can't see him going too far. He's talented, and a great personality, but something is lacking. Maybe it's drive and dedication? He's been plagued by long periods of inactivity, which are detrimental to his career and physical condition. He needs to get active fast I reckon.
