You're right but I hope that comment wasn't made because people have had the audacity to say Joe might lose.

Not at all. I have already stated earlier in the thread that both these guys have a great chance, but that is where the conversation should end. Too many people are brainwashed by hype. Too many people think they have the answers already to something that hasn't happened (I call it MMS: Mystic Meg syndrome). Not only that, but they swear they are right and everyone else is stupid for thinking otherwise. It's foolish, to say the least.

That said, NEVER count Joe Calzaghe out. He is a master of his art.

I would love for Bernard to win, but there's little chance of that. Calzaghe wins

I was watching Hopkins - Taylor 1 and realise that when JT stops headhunting and goes underneath with flurries ( like Pat Burns advised him to in between rounds), Bernard can't do much about it - check for yourselves at the 2:30 s mark of round number 10 when Bernard was all over him... What do I want to say with this? Joe can land often with two-fisted attacks and have Bernard doing close to nothing but first he has to land a lead shot on him and in order to do that... You get what I'm sayin? Calzaghe has to tag Bernard with a right lead and expose himself to a right counter and Hopkins has an excellent understanding of range. Check for yourselves if JT was not reaching with a right hand against him and ask yourselves if JC can do much better with his right jab.

Since when did punches landed matter with judges these days?

He's a lot of things but he isnt hype, he's the greatest SMW champion of all time and no-one who actually knows anything about boxing would dispute that.

Hmmm...how do you use a fight that Joe WON legitimately against a young, hungry, powerful, undefeated world champion as an argument against him?

Joe never got backed up agaist the ropes by Kessler as Hpokins was backed up against Taylor. Kessler is clearly a better fighter than Taylor, so what do the results of Taylor - Hopkins and Calzaghe - Kessler imply?

Since the fight was first looking serious bout 6 months ago i always felt that it would be pointless asi i thought Calzaghe would win easy just being to busy and out working BHOP, but in the last few weeks im slowyly shifting to Bernard hes a master of defeating southpaws, His defence is still magnificent and as composed as Joe is in the ring Hopkins can make anyone go of gameplan cus of his dirty tatics.
