I think Calzaghe won't be able to do it basically because he put too much pressure on himself and won't be able to handle the pressure and execute his gameplan. I really don't care who wins because there are things that annoy me about either fighter and I would be equally satisfied to see them recognize failure in the aftermath... I think Calzaghe is too emotional and disturbed about a whole lot of things ( legacies, past and present situations, judges, referees, proving himself and british boxing, Hopkins' tricks and strategies) and he is clearly underestimating his opponent... Hopkins is crafty and skilled enough to beat him and I guess he has the right mindset to focus on a 12 round task. There's a part of me that wants to see Calzaghe succeed so that he earns his well deserved respect but I don't see him relaxed like in Wales and against 7 years younger man Mikkel Kessler.
:good I LIKE BOTH GUYS ASWELL. BUT I'M GOING WITH THE GUY WHO IN MY OPINION IS CRAFTIER. I AGREE WIT YOU ON TE FACT THAT JOE HAS PUT ALOT OF PRESSURE ON HIMSELF.
While I agree that Hopkins can not handle 100 punches per round, I doubt that Cal will be throwing 100 punches per round against Hop.
It's a safe standpoint. you look like a genius if Bhop wins but if Calzaghe wins yo ucan say Hopkins age finally caught up with him. Look at the facts
The magnitude of the event is clearly getting to his head. Never seen him talk so much before a fight. He's making the kind of promises that will put him in trouble if he tries to deliver on them.
YOU WONT SEE ME WRITING ANYTHING ABOUT THE AGE FACTOR. IMO THIS FIGHT WILL BE DECIDED BY WHO WANTS IT MORE. AND WHO BRINGS THE MOST TO THE RING. IF CALZAGHE WINS HE WOULD GET ALL DO RECOGNITION FROM ME.
