OK, if Lewis' chin was questionable....

Because Rahman KO'd him, then how come Vitali couldn't?
I mean, I've read on hre that Vitali hit hard...but He couldn't KO lewis as Rahman did.
So is it that rahman hits harder than Vitali??
OR was rahmans' KO a fluke?
    hmmmm:think:think:think:think

the punch Rahman landed was flush. Its not luck, but it doesn't necessarily mean Rahman hits harder than Vitali.

if the fight would have not been stopped on cuts I fully beleive lewis would have been ko'ed. he was loosing badly and got lucky to get it stopped on cuts.

Not only that I will say that night lewis was a beaten man thats why he did not want a rematch.

The biggest problem Lewis had was his complacency. In some fights, his mind just wasn't there and you can't afford to do that against big punchers. He did it against Briggs, bruno and others but got lucky. However, he wasn't that fortunate when fighting Rahman or McCall. Any fighter can get hit with a blind punch and get KOed. Lewis proved his chin many times, but on two occasions he got caught when he wasn't expecting it, and lost.

I don't think the losses are a representation of his true chin.

Don´t know if we would have lost the fight, but on points Vitaly was winning. But it doesn´t matter anyway since Vitaly lost due to that horrible cut...

Yes, Lewis was losing the fight but after he landed the right uppercut, all Vitali did was hold on for dear life. That uppercut took the last of the fight out of Vitali. With 6 rounds to go, Lewis would have prevailed either on points or KO.

Credit where credit is due though, Vitali did fight well and a lesser man would have been flat out from that uppercut. That aside, the reality is Lewis won the fight fair and square.

Rachman's KO was not a fluke, but Lewis' chin is not that bad. If he had Mihael Grant's chin he should have had more losses.

Try to imagine Michael Grant taking one of Vitali or Briggs punches :p

Lewis' chin looks ok to me, here is a cool compilation of him taking big punches from some very hard hitting heavyweights:

The Rahman shot was as flush as they come but wasnt the only Flush right he landed that night, the difference was Lewis was bouncing off the ropes into the punch and was off balance, he didnt have his feet underneath him to absorb the shot.

No way did Lewis have a glass jaw. I saw him fight Mercer in Madison Square Garden and I heard Mercers bombs slamming against Lennox's head, to no huge effect.. When he got knocked out by McCall and Rachman, those were defensive lapses.
I totally disagree with the posters who say that "if" Klitchko wasn't stopped by the cut, he would have beaten Lewis. From what I saw, Lewis was coming on and landing some huge shots. He was ready to take over.
