And I don't say this very often but there is no way Bute should take that rematch because point blank: He cannot beat Froch. Ever - period. Every so often I rewatch my favourite fights and I noticed even more this time than I had in the past. Here's some points: Bute could not get his jab landed Bute could not land clean Froch was mentally willing to take punches to throw them - Bute cannot Froch clearly hit harder Froch positioned his body very well - Bute couldn't get the angles he needed (see point 2) Bute clearly can fight only one style, use the backfoot and work the body & neither worked vs Froch (see above points) I am sure if these guys fought 10 times Froch would win 10 times. the first time I saw it live I thought Froch did better on the night. Subsequent viewings I noticed more and more of the things that Bute cannot contend with. I think Bute must be hoping Mikkel wins now so he can fight him instead. Froch is everything Bute doesn't want - his style is far more suited to the ams imo.
