Overeem's last fight looked horrible, but when a man falls at your feet whenever he sees your glove move, and has one of the best guards in the freakin world...Hard to make a good fight.
Overeem is to big for the current version of Jones. If Jones was the same guy at 245 then I'd give him a definite shot.

I don't know about that. Jones is 6'4", and Reem is almost certainly smaller than the 6'5" listed, he looked slightly shorter than Werdum who is listed as 6'4". Either way, they're not too far off in height. Jones definitely has a reach advantage, and his legs could hit Reem from the other side of the cage.

Reem is certainly heavier, but Jones has the advantage in a lot of other areas.

Velasquez and Dos Santos would both punch holes in Jones, and I think Barnett and Bigfoot probably dominate him on the ground as well. As for the other top heavys like Overeem, Werdum, Lesnar, Carwin, Mir, etc etc, you'd have to fancy Jones to at least give them some serious problems now. Those big lumbering guys with no stamina would find Jones's speed and explosiveness horrible to deal with.

Jones is becoming the most hyped champion of all time and he hasn't even made a defence of his title yet

I wasn't a believer til I rewatched the Bader fight last week. I don't rate Bader as a fighter, but he's undeniably an extremely physically strong wrestler, with excellent wrestling credentials, and Jones handled him on the ground like a fluffy little kitten.

I still think a fully fit and non-rusty Rua, and Machida would both provide stern tests for Jones, but he is undoubtedly a superb fighter based on what we've seen so far.

With the injuries and the wars he has been in 29 isn't as young as it sounds

To tell you the truth I think Rampage is going to be a harder fight than most people think. I believe Machida would be his worse match up at LHW. I don't see him beating Overeem. Everyone is underestimating his striking since his last fight but he won K1 for piety sake and as good as Jones is at taking people down I don't think he would be able to take down Overeem.

Jones would be able to take Reem down. Doing it without being guillotined would be the hard part as well as holding him there. I've wrestled with Hamill and even though he's not a great fighter his wrestling is superb, what Jones does to guys is just unreal.

Rampage is going to be an even easier fight than people think. He is going to look like he's fighting underwater next to Jones, the difference in speed, explosiveness and offensive variety is enormous. Rampage has basically degenerated into a flat-footed toothless one-dimensional lumbering points fighter now.

All I know is, if Fabricio Werdum can outbox you, so can many, many other fighters out there.

I agree that Machida is the most interesting (and difficult) match up for Jones at 205 right now, but even Shogun's team has said that he came into that fight at 100%, and it was the early strikes (I think they specifically mentioned that flying knee at the start) and pressure on the ground from Jones that took it out of him.

    I hope its consensual.
