the fight still can happen and probaly will...

the whole gurantee thing was to compensate Alvarez for fighting on a undercard when he clearly is looking to be a headliner from here on out.

Word from golden boy is Mayweather has no problem facing Canelo in Sept he just rather focus on Guerrero and worry about Alvarez when its over. "Scene it"

Or they could handle their business first then work out their future plans at the appropriate time.

Only if the contract states that both fighters must win their upcoming fights... then I see no problem.

Either way, I'm glad everything happened the way it did. How can anyone complain about getting a big fight sooner, and not have to pay 60 bucks for it? :)

In no way do I feel Floyd should have signed to fight Canelo next. They both have opponents in front of them that they have to get past. For all we know, Mayweather or Canelo could end up losing their fights and then their big fight would make no sense to have.

The winners should fight each other, and the losers could fight each other too! That would be a great card for September!

Imagine if Floyd and Canelo both lost? What a crazy turn that would be. :D

I agree ST, just not on the losers must fight each other part. if Trout does lose and so does Guerrero, that wouldn't be a good match up, in my opinion.

If Mayweather were to lose, then negotiation with Pac would need to start ASAP. Being Pac just lost himself.
