Ok, now I understand why Wilder-Helenius comes off...

Haney-Kambosos II is such a nailed-on bore. Free fight is always going to do better numbers than paywall fight outside of the rarefied, extremely high-profile air of PPV superfights, but is the Haney dealy really going to attract all those million and some viewers back for another helping? Meanwhile, some will prefer to pay a premium to watch two big men throw bombs for a KTFO instead.

Helenius got KOed by 2 bums that Wilder beat. Ortiz and Stiverne are better than Helenius. I could also picture Brezeale beating Helenius as he is better than Washington and Duhapaus. Don't get me wrong, I like the fight and Robert has a chance due to his size and power.

I don't see how Breazeale was better than Duhaupas (not as slow, tight guard, granite chin, better wins) and Szpilka and Washington would certainly have outboxed him for as long as it lasted, I'd say probably beaten him. Arreola had more ability when focused: good output, solid chin, less easy to hit clean. A focused Helenius would walk Breazeale onto counters and destroy him in a few rounds, the skill gap is considerable.

Helenius has power, size, experience and is in good form so I put him in Stiverne 1/Duhaupas territory: below Ortiz but above Szpilka and Washington.

If this is for the vacant WBC then this is a damn sham. How does a guy is coming of two consecutive loses be inline for a title shot.

Former champ and its a pretty thin division. I'd prefer to see the winner of this face the winner of Parker Joyce in an eliminator.

And ??? he lost that title two fights ago. It’s bull crap that he can lose a fight get a title shot. Lose again and get another title shot. Everyone else has to earn a title shot. I don’t know how losing has earned him a title shot.

Ortiz v. Ruiz winner will fight Wilder v. Ortiz winner for the WBC strap. Either of these fights is also fair game for some sort of interim/fake strap and the final fight could be for some sort of "super" title.

That's assuming Fury retires or becomes "emeritus" champion. He has a deadline approaching.

Washington beat him, but I am not fighting it too hard on that one. I would agree on his best day Helenius is better, but...well...Washington won.

Exactly. He should have at least 2 fights before become a contender again.
