Ok now that Haney keeps improving can we start throwing him into mythological fights? Starting with.

    Starting with Miguel Cotto.

Let me state the parallels. Cotto has many detractors so does Haney.

"Oh Cotto, only beat a crippled, oh Cotto kneeguel this Miguel that. Dang Cotto being walked down in Margarito part 2 lol, " please. These are some of the reasons why people won't give Cotto his props, but what they can't deny is his presence at 140 and being a great in his era.

Now let me state about Haney:" oh he has no power , huggy bear, mismatch of the weekend etc" but he keeps winning and emphatically.

The resemblance in the two were that they were weak champions but could be argued as GREAT all the while. Think about it...Haney is still just as big and imposing at 140 as he was at lightweight.

So who wins this battle between two contemporary greats? Miguel or Haney at 140? And Remember too, Haney is just getting started up in this piece; Cotto was a hall of famer.

Please vote. Ty for your pick!

Don't disrespect Puerto Rico's 3rd favorite son like that :ohno

Cotto would brutally stop Haney. He usually went right through boxers and boxer punchers. Cotto had problems with big maulers (Margarito), guys who were simply too large (Austin Trout, Canelo) or the elite of the elite (Floyd and Manny).

Haney ain't none of the above.

Everybody else, Cotto eventually pretty much put beatings on.

Meh who cares about Haney, he’s just boring to watch, just like that other clown who retired because people booed him.

Agree with the above, but harsh on Mayweather though. No one seems to care about any fight Haney is in, not even against Insta darling Ryan Garcia. It was their press conference today and there aren’t any threads about it on the forum.

I am not a fan, but expect him to win most of the rounds in a dreary 12 rounder so if that does happen he should take the plaudits. He looks twice the size of Garcia.

Haney is the African American Pauli Malignaggi. Cotto jab, bodywork, footwork will press Haney into a TKO. Haney use to fighting 126lbs fighters while weighing 165+ on fight night. Cotto is stocky like Stanionis.
