I'm having a debate (which I personally can't believe IS a debate) about who JDS' best victory is against. Whats everyone opinions on who it is?

In foresight or hindsight? I supposed foresight and hindsight has to be Werdum. He ****ing blew him away. People forget that Werdum was in line for a title shot having beaten Vera and Gonzaga (they were hot**** at the time). Later Werdum beat Kyle, Big Foot and Fedor.

It has to be Werdum. JDS has rightly been waiting for a title shot since then!!!

This is exactly what MY agruement is. Werdum by a landslide I'd think. nelson is good but Werdum is on another level.

Werdum by a mile. Not even sure who the other candidate would be - Big Country? Cro-Cop?

I would say Werdum by far, then at the stage they fought GG, then CroCop then Nelson. but thats just me. The last three could be mixed up anyway you want. I merely stated that Nelson is NOT the best JDS has faced. I guess I was just looking for reassurance. hahaha

Even without adding his later Strikeforce accomplishments, Werdum was going into the Junior Dos Santos fight a PRIDE and UFC veteran with a 11-3-1 record, including stoppage victories over Brandon Vera, Gabriel Gonzaga (twice), Alexsander Emelianenko and Alistair Overeem. He'd never been finished before, either.

I would have to say the Crocop and Nelson wins were his best. In one he steamrolled over a still dangerous legend and in the second brawled it out with a tough "well-rounded" opponent! His win over Werdum has become the most significant win of his career but it wasn't a great fight. He just caught Werdum early. In the other fights he had to work and work hard against tough seasoned opponents. Dos Santos is for real.

I wouldn't argue that, but the debate was who was the best fighter he has faced at the time he faced them. Not the best/hardest/most exciting fight JDS was in. With that said his best victory as far as what he had to do to get it I'd say was the CroCop victory, he actually made Mirko give up, I never thought I'd see that.

Werdum is the best fighter at the time of their fight.

CC, Nelson etc were good wins and good fights but JDS blew away one of the best heavies of this era and he didn't do so out of luck. If you think that then hindsight shows you otherwise.

JDS already has vets on his record - CC, Werdum, Nelson...

He must be a humble guy to not have been crying for a title shot since 08!

You're right - I was answering the question incorrectly. Werdum should be considered his best win - especially in light of the Fedor defeat.

    Werdum...

(not even gonna count crocop , since he's a shadow of his former self...)
Counting crocop would be a bit like giving huge props for McBride's victory over Tyson..
