in most threads here, i have always said that shane mosley would win. and size and power has a lot to do with it. if mosley will show up with his vaunted speed, then much more so difficult for pac.

in a poll here, i voted pac because that was a sympathy vote. vote with my heart but analysis is through the brain.

the question is "how" will Pac beat mosley. the question is not "will" pac beat mosley.

so that is how i see the fight will play out for pac to win. in the same manner that rjj won against ruiz. in and out, land combinations and run. them fighting at 135 is impossible.

realistically, it will be at 143-144. why can't manny win darting in and out? he did it against diaz and dlh. and went for the kill in the later rounds. pac is a physical freak who has been known for his stamina.

why do you assume that he cannot be on his toes for 12 rounds if he weighs in at 142? he weighed in at 138 for the hatton fight and still retained his speed and power.

the guys has been described to have massive legs arising from his roadrunning abilities which has been the secret to his stamina.

I favor Pac to win and for now I think he will dominate. His speed of foot and hand, as well as power and stamina are not what impress me the most although they are very impressive. Where he has the big advantage as he's moved up is with his reflexes. His ability to instantaneously react to the situation is rare indeed. That fight against Hatton was not won as much by Hattons lack of speed or his stupidity, but by the huge reflex advantage that Pac. had.

Sure Mosley looked impressive against Marg., but that was a perfect storm fight. Marg. is relatively slow, his punches can be seen from a mile away, and he is an easy target to hit. Combine that with Marg's. a bad training camp, overconfidence, and then getting busted right befroe fight time, and it's not surprising what happened there.

One other point about Pac. is he is a very strong man and he showed it by driving Hatton all over the ring with those diesel legs of his. I think Mosley may be surprised @ how strong Pac. is in there.

As skilled as Mosley is, Pacquiao is even more skilled. Speed is also in Pacquiao's court in this one, and so is footwork. Mosley has size, chin, and power.

Pacquiao's technical skill is one of his greatest strengths. Always been the most underrated part of his game. People should not consider being slightly outskilled by Marquez as an indicator that he is not an extremely skilled fighter. His defence is ace too. He does NOT get hit flush often.

I think Pacquiao has the skills to avoid Mosley's power, the speed to break through his defence, and the footwork to control the pace of the fight.

In the eventuality that Pac does take a big shot from Mosley, he has the chin and conditioning to ride it out.

    Pac by decision

I base this on the fact that his hand speed was diminished in his last fight and the fact that he did not move as well as he had in other fights. I respectfully disagree with you. Shane would wear Manny down with bodywork. By the way Shane would be faster than Manny even at 5 lbs below welterweight.

hope it happens soon. it seems that pac will never venture into politics as of the moment, so these fights might happen.

but right now even if mosley is old in boxing terms, i aint going to complain. he destroyed margarito with ease the last time around.

that we have to wait and see. mosley looked very fast the last fight because he was going up against a slow margo who telegraphed his punches.

pac's hand speed was diminished in his last fight? hatton is way faster than most welterweights and he never saw the punches which knocked him down.

i will give you a pass for thinking like a noob, but some posters here will be on you like a leech if you insist that pac's hand speed was diminished in his last fight. come on man, hatton was knocked out cold even before he hit the canvas.

how can pac's speed be diminished?
