I think Haye has about a 30% chance to actually beat Wladimir, and maybe 15-20% chance against Vitali... Those odds are a lot better than other opponents of the K brothers. So yes, he can do it. But I wouldn't put my (v)money on it allso.
Because everyone wants to step into the ring as the underdog and get no money for there troubles, nice logic:roll:
He definitely has a chance, he has explosive power, and like someone has mentioned already, this is the Heavyweight division...we have seen bigger upsets.
:verysad you are a little slow i see You don't fight a few hw fights then get a quick title shot then expect to get the same money as the champ who has held the title for years. Your bigger paydays will happen when you hold the belt.
It's actually nice to see Wlad respond with some geniune agression and passion for the sport. I mean, we all knew he had the talen and the technical ability, but this is new. Hopefully he brings it will him into the ring.
From everything I've seen it was just as fair if not more so than the Valuev contract, which gave Don King three of his fights. At least the other way Haye had a chance to become a legend in the process.
I'd say that Wlad has beaten a number of guys that are as fast as Haye. Byrd, Chambers and maybe even Iggy were in Haye's league when it comes to speed.
Live underdog against Vitaly who is getting on a bit now. Think Wlad has too much handspeed coupled with reach for Haye.
hahah you are actualy comparing HAYE with those losers? oh c'mon haye is lightyears ahead of these guys wlad has never fough anyone like haye..
As you may already know Setanta (Haye's main source of income) went bust just before the fight with Wlad was supposed to occur, the Valuev fight was shown on box office sky in which Haye made a fortune and far more than what he would have made the first time round. Ive read about silly clauses in the contract which states things such as various rematch clauses which would tie up Haye as badly as the WBA belt. The contract talks with Vitali barely got off the table in what i believe was an unfair offer otherwise Haye would have taken it Just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less:good
:-(nope not slow just fair, Haye moved up to heavyweight after being an undisputed champ at cruiserweight, he deserved a fair contract, i would say the same if the Klits and Haye swapped roles.:good
Can he win - Yes. Will he win - Maybe. I'd give him a good chance against Wlad, but unless Vitali gets old over night he would KO him.
I'd say Haye has a decent chance of beating either of them, for different reasons. Vlad has a dodgy chin and has been put down a number of times in his career, albeit a while ago. Haye has very good speed and power and if connects early, Vlad could well be in trouble. Obviously similar reasons can be spun the other way, but i'm solely looking at Haye's chances of winning. As for Vitali, a few years ago I'd have given Haye less than 10% chance of winning. However, Vitali seems to have slowed down, a lot. I don't think it's unwise to say that Haye could now beat Vitali on points by simply being too fast for him. However, I think we'll no a lot more about Vitali in his next fight. His last one might have just been an off night. No-one can argue that Haye vs either Klitschko will be fantastic occasions anyway. Like him or hate him, Haye is the one who has generated these types of debates. Haye's speed, power and agressive fighting style could easily bring an upset.
