I understand he's not had a lot of amateur fights, but the guy fought to a high level as an amateur, and moving him alone slowly is fine, but it's too slow. 15 rounds in 12 fights and 10 first round stoppages is not going to get him anywhere. He's not even been beyond 3. He needs a step up in journeyman-class and a good 6-8 rounds now. He should be looking at the likes of Couser, Bates, Barnett, Greeley etc. These type of guys, before he eventually moves on to the likes of Page and King.

He should be fighting guys like Monk Foreman is fighting now:

The guy's fighting in a week, his 5th fight this year, he'll probably have 6 by the time the years out.

Cobb 7-1 and Caudle 9-0-1 aren't too bad in his last 5 fights.

We'll see him pick it up next year I'm sure, no need to rush the guy he's only 24. Plus padding his record a little will sound better when it's getting read out on TV in years to come.

I noticed that about Monk Foreman to he is fighting guys who may not be anything more than journeyman but they have lots of experiance and can at least test him. Deontay has another fight coming soon let's see where it goes. (Seth Mitchell also on that card)

They are horizontalists, and have no place in the ring. He's fighting bottom of the barrel fighters. Monk is a joke - a goddamn joke. He should retire now.

Just a question here but why do you say Monk is a joke? Is it because you think he's only an undefeated pro boxer because of his dad? or is it because you just don't see anything at all in him to make you think he can make it in the sport?
