He looked fast, moved well but he looked like he got rocked in rd 8 and 9. Would like to see him against Trout or Andrade next. I give him a C-

I was impressed but he got wobbled a few times. Very fast fighter that is for sure.

C- what exactly were you expecting? he is a counter puncher with good snap and puts them together well

He is no brawler like Golovkin so was never gonna stop Rosado

No, he didn't get rocked. GR had moments in the eighth, landed some decent punches, but Charlo was never in serious trouble. (and he won the ninth)

...and you expect him to jump straight from Rosado - who already was a step up in class for him - to a Trout or Andrade? :huh

So, no transition period, just straight from prospect to fighting world champs?

You're holding the kid up to a pretty unfair standard, there.

He is still developing, though he's coming along nicely and passing all his tests, and should take on a couple more fringe guys on Rosado's level next before taking the ultimate step up to contend.

    He got rocked??
He did better than Quillan as far as defense is concerned.

Quillan looked like he was ready to go a few times against Gabe.

Big step up in comp for Charlo

    B+

Boxers are good at going backwards.

    GG is not.

Soon as GG fights somebody he can't back up he will get KTFO.

I picked Rosado to win, but got impressed by Charlo in the end. Did an excellent job against Rosado who is better suited at 154

    :deal This.

I honestly was thinking that Charlo would wilt in the second half and get thrown off his game. But though Gabe tried to come on a few times, Charlo kept his head and kept outboxing him. Looks like the kid has a bright future ahead of him.

You racist *****, we all know that you would be all over GGG's nuts if he was black. It's impossible to say whether GGG can fight going backwards because he doesn't need to. Defensive counter-punchers have to be good at going backwards, but they aren't the only type of boxers.

what you mean is Charlo has nothing close to Golovkin's power, so he was never gonna stop Rosado
