by the sounds of whats coming from his training camp, i would be willing to bet a hell of a lot that hes not going to retire, he seems to be yet again deluded by his own ability & set on blaming other people for his loss to pacquiao

so therefore, if this is the case, how do you see him doing against the other LWW

bradley, campbell, witter, holt, ortiz, kotelnik, Khan, hopkins, torres ??

looking at that list, its hard to see who would be an easy tune up fight for him - i personally havent seen much of kotelnik apart from his fight against rees - but hes the only fighter on that list (aside from khan who i genuinely think would trouble him) who i can see him beating

if i was ricky I would retire - then again, I would have retired after the lazcano fight!

I think he should match the winner of Alexander and Witter for the WBC belt then retire.

I have always thought that witters style would pick hatton apart & finish him about the 7-9th rounds

he should definately take that fight mind, he's been 'ducking' witter to long

Id guess Witter ( assuming he wins )

A young Witter did ( I feel ) have the style to beat Ricky but he slowed down a bit and thats deadly when you fight in the Ingle style.

Then again I dont know how much Hatton will have left after a KO Like that. If it was me I'd pack it in.

Fighting Witter is a good way for him to go out! They can call it unfinished business and if Ricky Wins he can retire happy!

i think he should retire so we can get rid of boring ****ing threads like this that are re posted 4 times a week. in a minute the witter nut hugz will arrive stating that rickys ducked him, hes scared and witter would ko him faster than manny or floyd could, its just so obviouse!

Time to retire - plain and simple. It's not like he's a shot fighter, it's just that he's without a trainer, without a title, and got knocked out in two of his last three. Would you buy another Ricky Hatton PPV?

i would assume witter would be a good send off as well...but i just can't help but think that ricky's career has been a sprint as opposed to a marathon and he's just out of gas. it would probably be worse for him (mentally and to his legacy) to get the **** kicked out of him by witter in some highly produced farewell fight in the UK than it was to get sparked cold by the p4p no. 1 in the world.

i guess what i mean is he better make damn sure his mind is right and he still has the desire to continue before he decides to take on someone with a pulse.

He could still beat the current crop in 140, just never the dizzy heights being a p4p king. (if it was only in Ricky's head anyway)

I think that KO needed to happen quick, it was such a clash of styles that someone was getting hurt and Pac showed his true level, I dont think Hatton is half as bad as people are making him out to be. He could still clean out 140.

He's very vulnerable against the top fighters, i've said it even before the Pac fight.

And Victor Ortiz would beat him soundly, even before the Pac fight.

he needs a tune-up fight very badly...i doubt if he still has the motivation to trim down to 140

Never thought of Hatton as a star. Good banger but not boxing skills. After the Collazo fight, I never understood the purpose of Floyd fighting him. ( Oh, Yes, Cherrypicking!!!). The result of his fight with Manny didn't surprise me. But I thought he was going to last 4 rounds.
