On these shores alone theres some good match ups for Burnett.
    McDonnell, Tete, Butler, Hall.
All the above have different styles and bring there own pressures to a young Burnett.
Your Booth and your trying to learn your protege to deal with different styles that the world lvl operaters bring..some he already deals with better than others.
Would Tete or McD be a good choice to jump straight in at the deep end with or would u pick someone like Hall.
A tough hard man who has some decent experience at world lvl.
Or is there someone else from other countrys who youd pick.
Let us know and why youd pick that particular fighter for Burnetts first defence.
Im going Hall. For the reasons ive highlighted

For a start off I'd be telling Burnett to get his hands up. Ridiculous style if he is to progress

I think Emmanuel Rodriguez is his mando, looks like a tough fight.

Out of list Hall, if he has a mandatory then he will need to take that fight.

Stuart Hall is a very good shout for Burnett's first voluntary (after mando of course), has good experience at world level (former champion) and had a close fight with Haskins. I'd be staying well away from Tete for the moment, reckon he's a horrible match-up for Burnett.

Stuey Hall as first voluntary is a great shout.

I'd love to see him take on Jamie Conlon if he stepped up, he's bound to be struggling at super-fly.

Maybe even in the future Burnett could step up and take on the younger brother, wouldn't that be something?

Everyone's has there own opinion which is great but baffles me how Stuart hall keeps getting mentioned for world title shots. Lost to Haskins twice, McDonnell, butler and caballero. Good measuring stick but think there is more deserving fighters out there.

Baffles me why Burnett is rated so highly. He'll get wasted when he steps up. Hands too low and reflexes too slow with lack of one shot power to compensate.....

It isn't a thread about who is most deserving to face Burnett though. It's a thread centering around what you would do if you trained/managed Burnett i.e. concerned with furthering his development. As you say, Hall is a good measuring stick, especially for a fighter who is still in the infancy of his career really. If we're talking about who is deserving of fighting Burnett, then throw him in with Tete, but I wouldn't fancy his chances!

Hall is the best shout atm. Burnett is still relativly green and apart from the Haskins fight he hasnt fought top level. Hall would pressure him and rough him up a bit, he embodies the tough pressure fighter.
Id have Tete at the bottom of the list if i was managing his career.
Like has already been mentioned, burnetts hands are too low, and although some can get away with that style Burnett would do a lot better if he brought them up.
Tete would punish him badly imo.
