On both Around the Horn and PTI, they actually dedicate a normal chunk of time like any other main stream sport to his fight with Cotto.

It's not some blip like it usually is. Normall it's like "By the way there's a fight this weekend." or "Hey, Pac won congrats."

Bill Plaschke claimed smaller fighters are irrelevant and only heavyweights matter. I'm guessing Oscar and Sugar Ray Leonard didnt really help boxing.

this fight got alot of publicity before the fight. Even after the fightman, like today all my co-workers were talkin bout it and usually they talk about UFC lol funny how nobody knew who won the UFC fights this week.

yup they did but its clear that they dont know nothing about boxing,Kornheiser instead of talking about the fight started talking about how Pac lets one member of his entourage sleep in the bottom of his bed like King Tut,those knuckleheads only understand three sports basketball, basebol and american football anything else they're clueless.

the thing is boxing needs to turn this from pacmania and fuel it to take boxing to another level all around.

Thank God for pac in boxing.... and i truly mean this.

But boxing needs more then one fighter. Thanks to a great welterweight era we had and 24/7, the public now knows cotto, mayweather, pac and hatton.... they need to build on this as a sport and not just invest everything in one fighter.

Continue with the 24/7's, the good matchups, ect..... and boxing is back baby ;)

Id like to see HBO, Showtime, Goldenboy and Top Rank start to really solidify the sport and not be so fractured, then we can start seeing our sport packaged like other succesful sports.
