I notice that myself. They look old and banged up compared to thier other contemporary Sugar Ray Leonard.

the hat adds maybe an inch at the most. Here it looks like Hearns is 4 inches taller, if you add another inch for the hat he could look 5 inches taller. 5-7 1/2 to 6-1 1/2 is about 5 inches. But Hearns does not tower over Duran at all. No matter what.

Leonard is healthier than they are because he took less punishment in the ring, dude basically retired at 25 years old and came back a few times won some lost some but in the end no real damage.
Hearns and especially duran fought on for decades.

the irony is, floyd may very well look worse than these two granted he had less wars and punishment.

who fault is that but Hearns and Duran? Everyone told them to retire after being in wars when they were old and they kept fighting and Ray retired and did the smart thing. Hearns and Duran have themselves to blame for being banged up and also both of them lost all their money. I am not insulting them for that but at the same time they won millions and blew it all. You have to give Leonard credit for keeping all his money and staying in shape and retiring when he did!!

Hearns and Duran should have taken a lesson from Floyd and hit and not get hit. They got hit too much when they were older. Won't happen to a guy like Floyd!!!

Thats because he isnt very sharp to begin with outside the ring but I dont think floyd will end up looking like that.
Some real sad ex boxers to see are bowe, meldrick taylor, and toney and holyfield are heading there as well.
Its strange to me that pernell whitaker looks punchdrunk than lets say tyson who looks fine depsite taking more and harder beatings.
Im also worried about roy jones.

look like Duran was crouching trying to get inside to the body of Hearns who is standing tall throwing his jab. Duran could not stand tall with Hearns!!

Im not ripping on leonard for it, just explaining why he is in better health than hearns and duran, I hate seeing boxers fight way past prime and take beatings for money, I wish they all retired when the time is right.
    Unfortunately its rarely the case.

I notice that also. Pernell didn't seem to take much punishment. With Hearns and Duran you always knew they took punches so they would be a little banged up but not whitaker!!!

Hearns was 6'2''tall like it was put in the tale of the tape for his LHW title challenge at age 32 against previously undefeated Virgil Hill. Duran was at most a 5'7'' natural lightweight. The question was basically there was an enourmous difference in reach between the rangy Hearns who absolutely bombed poor Duran at distance with his right hand and the more compact and proportional Duran who beat Iran barkley who devastated Hearns in one of the two fights these men had... Of course the other one was for the WBA LHW title Hearns won and lost ( to Barkley) b4 retiring.
