    147+???

Very hard to think of anyone.

Quite a few guys between 126-135 but Roy was a freak no doubt.

Maybe roy has faster foot speed but i think hitman's hand speed is up there with roy.

Floyd Mayweather . . . now that I think about it, in a sense Mayweather and Roy have a slightly similar overall style. Lead right hand, low hands, quick to back to the ropes . . . That stance of being hunched over, your head extended, while your hands almost drag on the ground, i think the biggest difference is that Mayweather mixes it up on the inside and has much less power comparatively, at welterweight.

Shane Mosley is pretty close, at 154lbs, Ray Leonard at 160lbs is close, but thats about it. Muhammed Ali was extremely fast for a man his size but if we can't take P4P into it he was still slower than Roy.

Interesting answers guys. Here is my take:

The closest fighters IMO are SRL, Mosley, and perhaps Judah at '47, and maybe Judah at '47. SRL was able to put his hands together at this weight, and Mosley wasn't too far behind. But, I'm not sure I would rate any faster in terms of reflexes or getting off one shot.

I don't see the Hearns of '47 or the Mayweather of '47 being faster than the Jones that you see in this video.

Seriously, if Roy is just 10% of the guy in the video he will beat Joe Calzaghe.

Floyd has quick hands, he is able to pot shot you. But he doesnt put his punches together in rapid succession like that. Thats the difference, a lot of guys have fast hands no doubt. But putting combinations together like that, is ridiculous, and with that kind of power behind it.
People think Joe Calzaghe hands are fast, why isnt no1 posting him:yep
He throws a 1000 slap combo rather fast, im surprise no1 hasnt mentioned him yet

jermain taylor seen him training he was really fast but when he is performing not as fast as he is more cautious, Jermain taylor seen him work the body on 1 of his opponents in his fights , and also watch the jobby fight damn, jermain had got speed and power its a shame that evreybody thinks he was a hype job becasue he is a good boxer just a bit to cautious

p4p Roy is definetely faster but watching that, I think its pretty clear guys like Floyd are faster. its all relative to the opponent but when you simply look at the handspeed alone, how fast the fist travels, the lighter guys have a bit more of a blur to it.

Funny, just before Hopkins alot of people were claiming Calzaghes hands were as fast as Roy.
