Mosley, Judah, and Clottey were all at MSG....

And as soon as he fought a top fighter away from there... Margo-smashing.

Do any of the Cotto-queens not see a problem with this? Or at least see where some of his non-fans might be critical of this? Are you ppeople that ****ing blind?

Cmon now. He gets plenty of respect, maybe more than he deserves sometimes. He has got a good not great resume but is yet to have a signature win or performance.

Right now his most memorable fight is the war with Marg where he was beat down. And he was having one of his best performances half way through. He is yet to dominate a top tier fighter.

He hasn't clearly beat an elite opponent.

The 3 he fought, people argue he could of lost to and he did lose to 1.

So, simply just beating everyone at the top level isn't good enough ?

So you're only reputable if you suck out of Cotto's ass???

    GTFOH with that ****.

Cotto is a good fighter, but he ain't the ****in boxing messiah. If he was, he would agree to fight Shane in Cali, like Shane did him in NY.

The top 3 elites he's fought. He's arguably lost to Mosley. Lost to Margarito, and squeeked past Clottey in which some people feel Clottey won.

Beating some clearly helps big time. So theres no questions.

Cotto gets respect here. There are more fans than haters. Your just paying more attention to the haters

And beating a top-tier fighter cleanly, away from MSG would also go a long way.

Who is sucking out of his ass... Every reputable poster or anyone with boxing knowledge gives a boxer respect when he deserves it. Cotto deserves it along with many other boxers. Also, no one said (not I at least) he is the boxing messiah.

You cant argue Cotto losing to Mosley. Thats bull****.

He lost to Margarito but he still gained respect out of it.

And he won a close decision over Clottey.

Mosley and Margo were the only elites. Clottey is on the Quintana and Judah level.

How much more respect do you want him to get. Like any fighter he has some haters but for the most part everyone on this board gives him lots of love.
