I personally wouldn't have a problem with Cotto fighting Shane again. In the interest of fairness, I think the fight should be in LA or at least Vegas this time.

But as far as Paul not being a WW, that's just ridiculous. He hasn't fought at WW because none of the top guys will fight him. Period. As soon as one of them decide to get a piece, he will make 147 with sheer ease.

Why shouldn't he be a WW? because you say so?

    Because he's 6'2?

    :lol::lol: :patsch:patsch

    That's a ****ing joke.

Paul Williams hasn't taken a fight at WW since..07? He's had one at LMW and two at MW.

PErsonally if I'm Goosen, I run through everyone at 160...especially considering how Abraham is out of the picture and Pavlik may soon follow suit. Paul can easily rule the roost for 3-5 years without any sort of challenge for AT LEAST 2-3 years until Jacobs, Korobov and Lara are ready to make noise. Fights with guys like Anthony Mundine in the states, Duddy or Andy Lee in NY, Sturm or Gevor in Germany and potential fights against guys at 154 willing to come up all could make for financially worthy solutions (and good resume padders) for Williams.

It beats him sitting around watching Alf reruns in South Carolina.

    Ok wise-ass....

What should the height limit be? 6'1", 6'0" ???

You see how stupid this sounds? Paul is not heavy enough to fight consistently at Middle. Anyone who is a fan of middleweights will tell you he doesn;t have the frame. Again, he weighed in at 157 against Winky. And he also walks around lighter than any of the top WW's. We have weight limits in boxing, nothing else.

    If they weigh, they play.

    Wrong again...

    He fought in

    February 2008 (Quintana 1) 147
    July 2008 (Quintana 2)
    This content is protected

    November 2008 (Kolle) 156
    February 2009 (Phillips) 153.5
    April 2009 (Winky) 157

Seems like he's been doing more than watching Alf reruns. Besides, there is a lot more to do in Aiken, SC than watch Alf reruns.:lol::lol: motha****a!

Without question....but he's more or less black balled from the 3 of the top 5 (Cotto, Margo and Clottey) and last time Cintron had a chance to fight Williams his hand exploded from a severe case of vaginitis which forced him to miss out on that fight.

Mosley is there for the taking though, that said for long term thinking he would be much better off at 160 or perhaps even 154.

haveing physical advantages like that is not honorable, in a street fight it wouldn't matter because you can grab someone down for a submision or something but in boxing is all about just punching. I rather fight someone with my height and reach or close to it, to give them a fighting chance or in other words you're just a bully who don't like fighting in even playing feilds agree or dissagree, that is my opinion.

If you're going to call people wrong, get the dates right. Williams took on Quintana in JUNE of 08. I remember that now because I was there on the eve of the PR Parade. Why I DIDN'T remember it at the time, I'll blame on sleep deprivation. ****ing Connecticut is a rich man's hell hole.

Anyways whatever he's doing, he ISN'T fighting.

It is not a matter of Who. It is a matter of how. His most convincing win odver a name oponent was his win over Zab Judah. However Judah was past his best when they fought. Judah is still a decent boxer. He has wins over Shane Mosley and Joshua Clottey but neather were domating wins. Cotto is a very good boxer but not an elite one.

cotto needs to avenge his loss to margo, plain and simple.

everybody thought he was some sort of ww god until that loss. then, afterward, he got a ton of ****.

if he wants to be considered the best, he needs to beat margarito convincingly.

then again, beating pacman might be enough.

We're not talking about other fighters.

The thread starter said "Cotto" so we're talking about him. And if he wants to be considered the best by some of the fans who aren't convinced, then he should fight the Welter who he would not be favored against.

Instead of making excuses about height, and bull**** like that.
