His last two fights have left a lot of us wondering. Some guys just plain hate him, so the Ouma and Spinks fights just added fuel to the fire.

He has a great chance to redeem himself against Pavlik. If Pavlik destroys him, then obviously his rep will plummet. But, should he pull out a convincing victory, even the haters will surely have to acknowledge his talent. (Well, there will be some who will claim Pavlik was all hype, but that's standard practice after any fight).

So, a lot of questions should be answered soon regarding his abilities.

Of course, the worst case scenario is that he wins a close, controversial decision. I'd rather see Jermain get KO'd than have to listen to the talk of robbery and conspiracies for the next year!

I rate him. But he needs to win more convincingly.

Because he's a pathetic champion that will not compete with any young, strong, hard hitting MW's and higher, yet he was touted as something along the lines of a top P4P champ and a future HOF level.

The controversial decisions don't help, neither do his pathetic performances against guys he should easily paste.

    **** Jermain Taylor.

I remember when I made the comment that he will be the one to take Hopkins middlewieght crown, then 2 years later it happend. The man is a good fighter with good skills, and I feel he will slug it out with Pavlik and win.

Not just that my man, ignoring the fact that a true future P4P elite MW would have had little trouble with either of them at that point.

He will not compete with any big, strong and young hitters, he's essentially over hyped trash with the athletic ability and trainer to compete with guys who do not carry the intangibles that would trouble his style, IE, Hopkins and Wright as elite examples.

Pavlik KO 5 and bye bye you glass jawed joke.:good

He lost to Hopkins and Wright. Looked like crap against Ouma and Spinks.

I had all 3 of them fights really close, so in my opinion he had to be a pretty good boxer to have close fights with 2 all time greats. Wright and Hopkins should both know by now if you are so concerned about the judges making bad decisions maybe they should be a little more agressive and take out of the judges hands, you cant assume you will get the victory by avoiding punches and throwing a punch of your own here and there.

Heh, they definitely were very close decisions. As time has gone by, and the hate for Jermain has grown, suddenly all three of these fights were robberies!! ESB is chalk full of revisionists who rewrite history the way they wish it happened, and not the way it actually happened!

I think he is a pretty good champion, he has fought good competition and no one can say they have beaten him, I think Pavlik has no chance against him.

Im a huge Hopkins fan and I could honestly say he lost that first fight, I mean how do you expect to win a fight after losing the first 6 rounds. I had the Winky fight a draw the same way the judges had it, Winky didnt do enough in my opinion he avoided big punches and would have a flury here and there.

How the hell is Winky an ATG?

Let's not confuse P4P with 'ATG'. Please.

Gawd man, the more i read your threads the more stupid you sound. No one can say they have beaten him? Are you serious? Hopkins, Wright & Spinks have all beat him. Officially he's got the victory, but in his last 5 fights hes gotten 2 spilts decisions, and a draw. The only fighter that hes beat is Ouma, and as the Middleweight champion his preformances have been pathetic at best.
