based on this performance. Floyd just showed once again that he's vulnerable to southpaws, and the way he fights them is suicide against pacquiao. He stands flat footed, giving no lateral movement, and tries to pressure and attack. He would get absolutely mauled by Pacquiao. I've been saying this years. The excuse from Floyd fanboys before was "Floyd had to press his opponent because they were being defensive." Well here you had an aggressive southpaw and Floyd fought the same exact strategy as he did in the past, just like I said he would. Check out the Corley, Mitchell, and Judah fights... same exact thing. The only difference is that Floyd looks lot slower now with hands and feet. I'll give him one thing though, he seems to hit harder now and that'll help him. But standing flat footed, and not giving lateral movement , he'll get eaten up by Pacquiao guaranteed.

If it wasn't for the cheap knockout the fight could have gone either way . Ortiz was having his moments in there and he had Floyd reeling at least a couple of times. This is Victor B-class ortiz who most people said had 0 chance. Look at whenver Victor pressed the attack and Floyd was on his heels looking like a deer in the headlights. He's always had problems with southpaws, and this is the reason he wants nothing to do with Pacquiao.

I saw Floyd shoulder rolled in that fight. There is a ***** here in ESB who said Floyd never uses his shoulder roll against southpaws.

Also I noticed Floyd missed wildly a lot of his shots early.

its funny i thought the opposite after watching that fight. came away thinking pacman has no chance! mayweather is too smart and too skilled to lose to a smaller guy. you need the reach and height to stay our of range against floyd otherwise he's just to fast and too clever. it would be a great fight but i can see floyd getting decision quite comfortably.

Anyone that thinks that was a good performance by Floyd, much less an indicator of him beating Pacquiao has repressed homosexual tendencies

^ yeah he looked slower then I've ever seen him. But this fight went basically the way I expected it. Floyd does the same exact thing every time he fights a leftie. He presses, looks to potshot and pick them apart, but when you get aggressive and attack him, he's right there to be hit. He goes behind and shell and locks up. If Victor wasn't standing around so much and stayed in Floyd's chest he would have done a lot better. Notice any time he got aggressive the fight was changing. Go back to the Judah fight and it's the same thing.

The bottom line is Floyd has a habit of planting his feet and potshotting, rather then moving laterally to side. The golden rule against osuthpaws is to keep your lead foot on the outside and Floyd doesnt do it. He walks in straight lines and presses to attack. That strategy will jsut favor Pacquiao.

What fight did your non boxing ass watch bc Floyd was giving Ortiz the GATTI treatment. You are a hater anyways so your argument is ignorant.

LOL at Victor having Floyd reeling. Or the fight going either way, he was down 0 - 4.

    Floyd was dominating that fight.

But anyway you will never convince a Pacquiao fan he will lose to Floyd and vice versa.

Pac wont stand there to be hit like Victor, and hell be a lot more aggressive. Seriously if you stuck pacquiao in that ring tonight Floyd would have gotten knocked the **** out , and your pretty delusional to think otherwise.

Everyone has an opinion. IMO I think you REALLY don't know what your talking about. This fight is easy for Floyd.

Ortiz squares up, making him very hittable by the lead right.

I thought Judah sort of laid a semi blue print on how to fight Floyd. Actually I think that if Judah had great stamina to sustain his early strategy, he would have won that fight.
