Someone's gonna get knocked out! I think Juanma will stop Marquez. Marquez will make him fight hard though. I think Juanma will also touch the canvas. But ultimately Juanma's power will decide it. Juanma TKO 9
If Conception could counter and drop Lopez when hurt with a punch like this (around 3:30), I can't imagine Rafa not being able to do worse with his precision and power and finish him with his killer instinct. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-KDtGnivLI[/ame]
It's actually not my hope. b4 i thought that it would be better for Juanma to fight a man than has beaten Marquez before; Wilfredo Jr
That actually made me sway more towards Rafa. I mean I know Rafa will be hurt at some point and when JML smells blood he always goes for the KO. So when Rafa is standing around wobbly legged JML will come in and unload only to find himself on the floor. Rafa is very dangerous hurt. JML after that Concepcion KD looked hurt and it wasnt really a powerful shot. With Rafas precision punching and JML defense its a recipe for a KO if JML gets hurt.
What SHOULD happen is , the younger, fresher Lopez prevails. But, there is the chance that the more experienced Marquez may capitalize on a previously unforseen flaw in JuanMa's armor.
Lopez will be the hardest puncher that Marquez has ever faced and he does have a slightly shaky chin. It will be a great fight while its lasts but I don't think that Marquez can stand up to the power of Lopez.
That's the interesting part of this fight for me. Lopez is a good fighter, but he's got more than his fair share of that more-balls-than-brains latino fighting style going on too. Not that I'm complaining; A bit of going-to-war-unnecessarily always makes fights much more exciting. He's up against the wrong boxer to be taking risks with, though. I still think Lopez pulls out the win, and he will provided he boxes intelligently, but I wouldn't be too surprised if Marquez dragged him into a ground war and planted a KO punch on him at some point. That whole Mexico-vs-Puerto Rico atmosphere tends to bring out blood and thunder rather than surgical strikes. Lopez. But it's not a certain thing.
You clearly have not seen Marquez fight. Mabuza, Vazquez, Austin, Johnson, etc all had capable knockout power and Lopez has just as much a "shaky" chin as Marquez "does". And What this guy said, except I am picking Marquez by TKO.
:rofl:rofl Trust me i've seen all of those fights. Lopez hits harder than Vasquez I think its fair to say, add that Marquez is older now and fighting at a higher weight class. I've seen Marquez do the dance against a number of opponents, he is brilliant offensive fighter with fast hands and heavy hands but he does have vulnerabilities. Are you seriously comparing the power of Tim Austin and Mark Johnson to Juanma :huh
All those guys have significant pop in their hands and IMO, would dispose of Juanma in their prime. Like somebody else already said in this thread; Juanma is getting way too clout much for beating who exactly? Outside of Ponce De Leon (who isn't on the level of Marquez) there aren't too many world beaters on Juanma's resume. Marquez has been hurt by a few opponents, but who hasnt? Juanma was ready to go by a gatekeeper in Mtagwa and was down against a mediocre fighter in Concepcion. All I'm saying is both guys have almost the same exact faults.
Im gonna stick with Marquez simply because he has no endurance issues that we know of even at this stage. JuanMa does not put the pressure that Izzy does and it wont be a difference in strengh that will be noticeable. The veteran edges this epic war in a close close fight.
Nailed right on the button. There will be no well executed gameplan in this fight, only adjustments and will.
I have Marquez winning big , the difference in calibre for me is massive, the whole Lopez hype when knocking out De Leon in a round has made he look like a monster , but when you look at the quality he has fought since and the damage he has taken shows a lot of weaknesses. Marquez in 8 - 10 brutal rounds.
