Well, I fell for it again. Lots of voices on here saying that the fight would be announced during last night’s ppv. It sounded completely fake but I still chose to believe it because that’s who I am, lol.
Honestly at this point it’s not as big of a deal as it would have been. I’d still be interested but not as much as I would have been a couple years ago. When these guys see the checks tank and Ryan make other fighters will finally start demanding bigger fights again.
I've given up on this ever happening. Crawford's been at Welter for nearly 5 years, so that's how long they've had to make this fight and it's still not happened. If it was going to happen when both were prime or near it, it would have happened already. Will probably be one of those fights that if it does happen it will be meaningless because either one of them or both of them are shot or close to it. So let's give the attention to fights that might actually happen and fighters who are willing to face the best.
I have no faith it ever happens. Both are chumps for avoiding each other. All credit to Tank and Ryan for putting on a fight many had been wanting to see. Perhaps their example will press others to engage in big fights.
Never will happen Fighting over ~$20m each at the moment which isn't really a lot in todays boxing. I don't see big money pulling through and it doesn't hold its weight like Pac Floyd did.
Hopefully this shows the young fighters to take some chances before you turn 30. Looks like the Spence payday is just gone as far as Crawford is concerned. That has to hurt, on some level, to be an undisputed champ who never got that huge check.
Top 2 of the division not fighting lmao Pacquiao, Barrera, Marquez and Morales quad fought at 122-130, shame to this era
