I agree he wasn't that badly hurt his eyes were clear, he just got caught which happens and Nery threw a very compact hook.

Yeah that was obvious, he was telegraphing huge right hands and missing in round 1 which really isn't something were used to seeing from the usually very technical and accurate Inoue. He clearly was looking for a KO in that first round to make a statement and paid the price. But he quickly adjusted and went back to what he usually does and then the gulf in class was obvious and even then he was putting on a show.

He came out uncharacteristically undisciplined, winging wild right hands and leaving himself open which led to the knockdown. Once he settled down all was fine. There is nothing wrong with his chin, the first fight with Donaire proved that; I'm sure he will learn from his mistakes in this fight.

Quite contrary to the ops opinion, I think this showed that Inoue has yet another aspect of possible all-time greatness within him. That was a damn good shot he got hit with! Nery, who is no powder puff puncher, turned into it and Naoya added to the impact himself, getting caught in the exchange. And he did what nearly all of the greats have had to do, rise up off the canvas and fight through adversity.

I think he showed great courage, intelligence and awareness, which most of the all-time greats had in spades.

Questioning his defense, very sloppy, easily countered left himself wide open after punching, staying on the line witing for the bill and got caught flush, if that had been Tank he would have been out cold.

Inoue came out more aggressive than usual paid for his mistake adjusted and completely dominated the fight. You see real men like Inoue love to mix it up it's just in him because he is a warrior and not a safety first coward, that is one of the reasons the fans love him because he likes to fight even though he is capable of just outboxing his opponent.

If anyone agrees with you about anything boxing related then they’re already scratched from being classed as a ”boxing aficionado”

If Inoue were at 147 then he would be KO'd long time ago. The fact is from 112 to 122 there are not many tough guys who can brawl with him.

Tbf to TS. Inoue does bring his chin up and he's open to solid counterpunchers but his ability to hold the shot was fine.
