Really interesting fight for the British title. Askin has improved significantly as a fighter and looked good on his last outing against Simmons. Usually struggles when he steps though.

As for okolie this is the perfect step up fight, he obviously carries power and has an awkward gangly style. I think he stops Askin mid rounds in a tear up.

This and the Campbell fight are good undercard fights. Add brooks and Sam egginton and that will be it I reckon

I've not been sold on Okolie since Turing pro, however with his last 2 opponents and now Askin, he's proving he's willing to test himself. I admire that.

Glad they've given Askin plenty of notice, needs to have a good camp to stand a chance.

Really good fight. Agree that that Okolie has taken some warming to but this is the type of fight we need to see. All credit to him. Personally think Askin will give him a really tough fight and its close to 50/50. Heard a few interviews with him and he is taking it seriously, with Jennings and reportedly getting great sparring. Okolie's chin is suspect still for me and Askin can really bang.

These are the types of fights I really enjoy - Groves-Degale, BJS-Ryder, Blackwell-Eubank, Taylor-OD. Need a hell of alot more then less.

Yup, Okolie always seems to want to test himself whether people like him or not. Gotta give him props for that despite his rather awkward style and his supposed dodgy chin.

This is a great match up.

Good to see a prospect testing themselves at elite British level and not just fighting eurobums.

Okolie is on a great streak of fighting good solid domestic fighters. Its a logical step and sets him up for the European scene. He should take his time then and wait for usyk to be out of the picture. He could then win 1 of the world titles.

Not made my pick yet, but I'll have some of that 7/4 on Matty Askin.

lol Gassiev, Breidis, Lebedev, Dorticos,Glowacki will still be there along with up and coming beasts like Egorov. It's a stacked division, can't see him ever wining a world title at Cruiser
