Okolie is like Wilder with boxing skills. He will move up to heavyweight, and in two years time he will beat Fury or Joshua. Usyk was a decoy for the true cruiserweight king who will defeat all heavyweights - Lawrence Okolie.
It takes more power to knock out heavyweights and Fury is harder to hit than the guy Okelie just sparked and he`s taller Okolie has been fighting cruisers much shorter than AJ and Fury lets see how he does v heavyweights with longer reaches than the cruisers he`s been blowing away.
I think we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. He demolished Glowacki in 6 rounds without any difficulty but is this version of Glowacki even nearly as good as the pre-Covid, active, 32 year old interim champion Glowacki who lost to Breidis in 3 rounds? And does demolishing Glowacki mean you are ready to beat the best heavyweights? He won't be fighting old inactive former champions who are 6 feet tall and 195 pounds at heavyweight. Okolie should fight Briedis first and then move up.
Wilder weighed 208 lbs against Fury in their first fight, that's basically cruiserweight. I can bet that even at Cruiser, on fight night, Okolie weighs just as much as Wilder does outside of his rematch with Fury. Generally, if you have cruiserweight knockout power, you'll have heavyweight knockout power. Just ask Manuel Char.
Wilder came in light against Fury for the first fight but he weighed 212.5, not 208. Okolie will probably still be a big puncher at heavyweight but he won't bang nearly as hard as he does at cruiser.
Gotta love knee jerk reactions. Weight bully CW beats ageing gatekeeper fighting after a near two-year lay off and that's evidence Okolie is soon to be the best HW in the world. Alrighty then....
