His style is old school and when it comes down to it he's a born fighter. He has almost no amatuer career and less then 20 pro fights and he still can hang with anyone in the division. He is a defencive fighter and is a poor mans James Toney and anyone who knows boxing knows JTs as old school as it gets. And he gave Huck all he could handle and almost stopped him in the fifth. Mac gassing had nothing to do with him losing he got caught by a huge punch and got laided out. But he wont get in the ring with the Klitschko's. Aint a fighter at Cruiserweight Ola wouldnt step into the ring with. But you're only talking **** about him because it was YOUR MAN who he was talking about. And if he was talking about someone else I doubt you'd be so quick to jump down his throat and the only reason you are jumping down his throat is to take attention off of what he said about Haye which is ALL TRUE!!!! I'm sure the judges didnt and I know the crowd didnt.
Who the **** is this bum? Better yet, who the **** is the creepy groupie riding ***** in the passenger seat?:huh
He's simply not good enough to carry of 'his style' at the highest level. I'm well aware about his lack of amateur experience. He's great at minimising the amount of punishment he takes - despite dominating Enzo Mac hardly landed anything flush on him. However Ola only really landed one telling blow himself in the first 8 rounds (and that admittedly had Enzo reeling - if it had come any earlier he would've been in real trouble); he's not offensively gifted and needs to alter his style. He'll have to take more risks in future. You say he 'can hang with anyone in the division'; I doubt he'll get another win at world level if he continues in this vein - he'll continue to drop decisions as he did against Huck. True. But he lost comfortably did he not, despite his claims that he had been robbed. I don't like Enzo Mac & nor do I rate him, but he had gassed badly. After the fight it had emerged that he had been training on his own lifting beer kegs, and hadn't done any sparring (which Calzaghe senior denied at first and then finally settled on claiming that 'Joe had never sparred and he was world champ for 11 years'). Why call out B.J Flores then? Why not Cunningham, Jones, Wlodarczyk or Huck? Why call out a guy with no belt & no meaningful victories? This is true. Can't deny this. He had (an admittedly miniscule) Union Jack on his robe and shorts. I'm sure the judges knew. He had made a big deal of it in the press before hand ('I love fish and chips'). I'll continue to support him as I do all English fighters, and yes maybe I overreacted, but the fact that everybody has been mindlessly parroting 'Ola he tells it like it is' pissed me off.
How is sitting in the passenger seat riding *****??? You ****in idiot. And if you knew anything about boxing instead of just fantasizing about tossing Floyd's salad you'd know who he is.:good
I dont know maybe he just doesnt like him? Maybe there was an offer made but the del feel apart?? Maybe because outside of Matt Godfrey he's the best and most known and hyped american cruiserweight. Either way I'm sure Ola would be quick to jump into the ring with any of those fighters. Doesnt really matter he went into that fight as nothing more then Enzo Mac's opponent who was based in Cali. The judges knew who the hometown guy was and who Frank Warren's boy was. And well he did tell it like it is. It's his opinion and the opinion of most and you cant say that much of what he said isnt true.
Ola is great guy met him before he took time out to say hi and take pics. He a local boy...tbh he chatting **** about not knowing David because David is from South London and so is he and both would of been boxing around same time. Ola was at Battersea ABC and David was at Fitzroy Lodge which isn't far away. Ok i know Ola didn't box amateur that long but everyone in South knew who Haye was back in day. He made some good points about boxing in general. Personally i hope he does come to fight more...he does have some ability but he's becoming like Howard Eastman another Battersea boy.
Great clip, thanks. TV has ruined boxing to an extent, it has become a pantomime at the top level, fighters gotta fight, too much is placed on retaining your 0.
dude.. that haye shirt s old ****ing news. your boy wont step up.... lose the shirt... its embarrassing. :yep
