A fighter who rarely gets a mention and some one who I really admire, is Ola. Obviously known for fighting Huck in a series of close fights.

Currently there is a string of strong title holders at CW.

Will he always just be a fringe challenger and inevitably in time a gate keeper?

At the age of 33, do you think he will ever be able to capture a title at cruiser-weight? Could he beat any of the current CW champions?

What are your thoughts regarding Ola?

He's definitely capable of winning a world title.

I rate Afolabi, he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Good fighter.

    A raw talent.

I think he's years spent sparring have affected his ability to win fights at times such as against Huck. I think he loses focus and maybe at times falls into bad habits from the past and allows himself to be outworked.

His issue against Huck in the 3rd fight was the fact Huck clearly studied the tapes from 1st and 2nd fight and adopted a different style which shocked Ola who didn't have the ability to adapt.

I think part of the problem was his time spent refining techniques. I think in a way like Pacquiao sometimes the raw and unpredictable nature of a boxer like Ola can pose problems to fighters who are used to more well schooled fighters.

He also spent a ridiculously long time in camp due to the Don King stuff with the Huck fight and i think he was drained slightly.

He's picked his workrate up over the last year and lost the weight but he can be lazy at times and seems hard headed from what i see of his fb. He will tell you he's a world champion already because of the IBO title. That sorta mentality..

I met him once and he was a cool guy. He's got the ability to win a alphabet title for sure but it's up to him.

I'd like to see him vs Bellew if Tony moves up to CW.

Not unbeatable, however a dangerous proposition for any world level cruiserweight..!

True.First saw him talking to Steve Bunce on Setanta, before his Enzo fight.Came across as a really interesting personality, stories about training camps etc. Also was very proud of his British heritage, and I wondered, after he beat Enzo, why he wasn't snapped up over here.Maybe he's got reasons for living abroad, family etc?
As a boxer, has plenty of class, but maybe falls short of the very top.But anyone who could beat Enzo at that time isn't that far off it.Just short of the Hucks and Hernandezes, but near enough to give them a real battle.I suggest our lads can do well, but to steer clear of him.

Love Ola but judging by his last 2 fights, his best days are behind him now.

His story is amazing & he lives the kind of life he could only dream about.

Its a shame he'll probably never officially hold a world title.

ola could easily still win a title

if the second fight was on british soil he would have got a home town decision easy

he said the reason he fights out in Germany is cos of the money

got a lot of respect from the bloke, from my manor and went to my brothers school, top lad by all accounts

reckon he should go to frank so he can get him a big title fight on home territory

Think he missed his chance now, which is a shame because he had the ability, and who doesn't root for him after hearing his story. Still he can be very proud of what he achieved.

ola is great....but i honestly think he was lucky that enzo calzaghe was in macrenillis corner the night he beat him......just my opinion, but i am convinced that enzo mac could have put much less effort in and boxed his way to a handy points win...he was never going to stop ola and the only advice calzaghe was giving him between rounds was to go out and try harder for the stoppage, "get him...get him".....if enzo had to take it easy and box off his jab at his own pace he'd have won that on points...i'm convinced........all ifs and buts now though

Hard man and seems like a nice guy. I'll never forget being there when he smashed big Enzo Mac. That was hilarious.

A good fighter who gives some good performances but sometimes gets stuck in "sparring" mode. He won me about £100 last fight so he's good with me!! :)
