That was a good stoppage, Durodola had nothing left, he was starting to get brutalized.

Great fight though, props to both men, warriors. The little bounce before a left hook which Briedis used, reminded me a bit of Wlad (whom he trained with from what I recall).

He had trouble with Durodola's reach and his right in particular, once he adjusted it was game over. I had Durodola winning he first 3 or 4 rounds, but like round 5 on was all Breidis.

You hit the nail on the head! The stoppage was comming but to stop the fight with one second left in the round and the Nigerian still offering stiff resistance is just stupid.
Bridies would have stopped him anyway but it has been a great and intensive fight which deserved the great final touch. The ref destroyed a master piece!! **** him!

After the ref jumped in and Briedis stepped away he had been a zombie out on his feet for a round or two. Pretty similar to Kovalev/Pascal I.

No I rather see him take out a few more B level guys first like McKenzie or Kucher, I think he could win a title, but no need to rush.

We gonna see Durodola-Kyudryashov II, I know Ryabisnky will make it for the Fall, good payday that Duro won't get anywhere else.

Will he not become mandatory to the winner of Bellew-Makabu (Makabu)?

I think so, and I'm not looking forward to that at all, because I'm a big fan of Makabu and Briedis.:|

Bridies is for real. He and Usyk will reign the cruiser weight division for the next few years.

I take my hat off to the teak tough and mentally extremely tough Nigerian. He entered the ring to wage war and take his opponent out of action. He would have won against almost all cruisers tonight but Bridies was just too good for him.
Damn! Tonight's version of Dudorola would certainly have won against-say-Glowaki.
    Great victory for the LATVIAN:good
