Well yeah. However, he came close last time around, so I can't blame him if wants to give it one last go.

I don't blame him regardless. Its tough to stop for any athlete or fighter, let alone an ATG like Donaire!

I concur. Donaire has taken too many hard bouts and he really has nothing else left to prove. But just the fact that he was still so close to winning a title at his age says a lot about his dedication and ring craft. He was really unlucky against Tsutsumi and had he won there's no doubt that he would have rode off into the sunset. Maybe he'll get that chance again this year, just hoping he doesn't take too much punishment. He deserves to retire on top.

I think Niyomtrong is too old now but he is very courageous because Iwata is not a joke at 108 lbs.

I agree. I don't think this fight ends well for Niyomtrong.

Nonito Donaire is currently training in the prestigious Yokohama Hikari Boxing Gym, he looks like in a very good shape for this fight.

I think so too, I can see different scenarios where it could go either way.

Nonito is an absolute freak of a nature. I love that guy so much and I still choose to believe he can win a title again at 118. WAR Nonito :ibutt

I'm pretty sure Nonito Donaire can still beat some top 10-15 bantamweight like Emmanuel Rodriguez, Yoshiki Takei, Antonio Vargas, Jason Moloney...

But the fight against Riku Masuda will be a mystery, it's a 50/50 on the paper.

Of course Nonito Donaire prime would have smashed him in 6 rounds.

It's like Juan Francisco Estrada "El Gallo" against Tenshin Nasukawa, It's really difficult to predict because Estrada is at the end of his career.

Da faq you mean 10-15? He arguably beat Tsutsumi in his last fight and should be the WBA Bantamweight champ right now. Officially he was 1 round short of a draw against Tsutsumi - a top 5 Bantamweight.
