The broadcast is scheduled to begin in exactly 3 hours from now, the card also features victor Ortiz v Luis Collazo. Should be decent.

I have some money on Ramirez. In neutral zone Afolabi would be a clear favourite, but it's clear that the Argentians are gonna do everything possible to get the victory to their man. Afolabi should try to get a KO, but he is not that kind of fighter. He has only 10 KO's and Ramirez is tough.

afolabi can bang and if he connects clean with his uppercut he has a pretty nice chance to ko ramirez senseless.

    Ola posted this on Facebook:

After all that hard work I lost to a guy that doesn't come near me in talent. I lost and I congratulate Ramirez on his win.
I'll think about what I want to do with my career in a week or two. Maybe I'm just old at 35 with no amateur experience and I've gone as far as I can.
I feel like I don't have it anymore. My balance is a mess and punches that never used to hurt do now. I felt every punch he threw, it felt like knuckle on bone.
Like I said...... I'll take a week or two, see if I can improve on my issues, and if I can't I'll quit. No need to take punishment.
I ain't quitting yet but thank you all for the <3 #boxing.

    I left him this comment:

You did great, Ola, tremendous show of heart, chin & conditioning on your part. Don't hang your head; Ramirez is actually quite good. He gave Huck probably his toughest fight at Cruiser besides you and Cunningham. (and yes I'm counting Arslan I and Larghetti). Not a cutie pie stylist but a very skillful and heavy handed pressure fighter.

Every punch Ramirez threw hurt him? Why did he stand there taking his shots like a terminator then?

Ola seems pretty beat up. Probably figures that was his last shot at winning gold, and he blew it... I don't think he was fair to Ramirez by saying that he "isn't anywhere near his skill level" Ramirez is very skilled, and clearly a world class operator. Arlan and Afolabi are in the same boat I think. Both have had their chances, and have arguably been robbed more than once in world title fights(Arslan twice at 40+!) But CW is a shark tank, and everyone at the elite is pretty close in terms of skill. Can't really beat yourself up for losing Ola...

    ...because he's a bad man.

I find his statements credible. You could tell by his facial reactions he was getting hurt, and often. Nothing he took in the Huck trilogy made him react like that.

His chin may well be cracking with age or wear & tear, or a combination of both.

He would know his body more than any of us. :conf

It wouldn't be Ola's temperament backing down just because he was hurt, though. It never has been. That's what makes keeping his feet through all those Ramírez onslaughts so impressive - they were a combination of chin and (more importantly almost) heart and sheer iron will.
