Agreed, to me the fourth installment feels like a gratuitous excess that cheapens and undermines its antecedent trilogy - very similar to how the Márquez–Vázquez rivalry concluded.

It felt like icing on the cake and proper closure for me, since I'm a Huck fanboy, Afolabi is clearly somewhat past it, but not quite Vázquez far gone, or Tyson Marquez far gone for the third Concepcion fight.

He wasn't that far gone, but I think people misinterpreted the Chakhkiev result as him still being prime or something. He wasn't. Years of wars and sparring had taken an obvious toll. Chakhkiev was his "last hurrah", and the note on which he should have exited (though I can understand him being salty about officially being down 0-2-1 even though many felt he could've easily been 3-0 versus Huck) - and paralleling the Izzy and Rafa situation, the fourth installment was too marred by the eye damage to call a conclusive or worthy punctuation on the feud.

As far as the Chak match goes, I'm not, I even predicted Afolabi would stop him, the Ramirez match I wouldn't say was any kind of evidence that he was that far gone either, Ramirez was just a bad style match up for him, Huck was coming off of a devastating KO loss, Ola was coming off of an up and down year, so I consider that match, while they clearly were not on the level they were on in their first 3 matches, it was far from two shot to **** guys going at it like Juanma-Vazquez Jr. ill be tomorrow. And in Huck's defense he was dominating the fight more decisively than he had in any of the previous matches even before the eye injury, so I don't think he takes that much away from the win.

Was just about to wish the guy well in retirement, but the post regarding him coming back has pretty much nullified it for the time being. He had a solid Chin at CW... but coming back now against any of the titleholders (barring Shumenov) is likely to be quite dangerous for him. Even Bellew poses a potential threat now, when that wouldn't have been the case even a couple of years ago.

At any rate, the saga continues.

I remember the Enzo upset win; he looked extremely cautious and unwilling to trade for the entirety, so his detached retina surgery 2 days prior might be legit: i believe the British Boxing Board could potentially withdraw his licence retroactively for this breach of conduct?

Regarding the Montezuma story for the Ramirez fight, he could have been training 3 months and be in perfect shape, Ramirez would still have plastered him.
