Fleaman,RE:Mickey Walker I want= I'm afraid there will never be discovered Walker/Greb film. However there is a great clip of Walker Ko'ing a top Tommy Milligan in London, 1927...Walker ,then in his prime, looks awesome, demoloshing Milligan in 10 rounds...I remember ,after Turpin beat Robinson in England in 1951, some in the British press claimed that "the Mickey Walker who ko'd Tommy Milligan, in 1927, would certainly have beaten Ray Robinson of the 1951 Turpin fight ", for what it's worth..Great film it is...I sawit on Youtube awhile back....

So would you rate it as a better win then M2S? Considering Leonard showed flashes of his ability?

It is clear from the footage that on that night McLarnin was the better boxer. To be honest Leonard in the footage did not look as bad as I would have expected. He showed signs of having a high ring IQ. I think his problem was that his body could no longer do the things his mind told it to do.
I know that most of Leonard's fights leading up to this one were against guys who had no busness in a boxing ring even with this version of Benny Leonard. I wonder if he would have benfited from tougher compotition leading up to this fight?

I have some footage of Mickey Walker, which I'll upload onto my Youtube channel in the near future. The footage consists of the following:
    Walker v. Tommy Laughran,
    Walker v. Tommy Milligan,
    Walker v. Ace Hudkins,
    Walker v. Max Schmeling.
Also, there is some footage of Mickey Walker training on my channel.

    Rare Boxing.

ripcity....I am a devotee ot the great Benny Leonard, all of my lifetime...I never saw this short clip before, and like you I was surprised that this old, bald, and seven year retired Leonard did so well before, Mclarnin and age took its toll..There were glimpses of the prime Benny Leonard, seven years before who dominated a great lightweight division as champion for many years...Benny Leonard was considered by experts like Ray Arcel, Lou Stillman, Nat Fleischer, and others,on a par with the great welterweight Ray Robinson... After seeing this clip, I see glimpses,of what Leonard must have been in his glorious prime...Possibly the greatest lightweight that ever lived....

ripcity,Benny Leonard is certainly in the mix of the greatest P4P boxer of alltime...He was lightweight champion for SEVEN years, licking fighters , such as
    Johnny Dundee
    Johnny Kilbane
    Freddie Welsh
    Jack Britton
    Ted Kid Lewis
    Soldier Bartfield
    Charlie White
    Joe Welling
    Richie and Pinkie Mitchell
    Rocky Kansas
    Ever Hammer
Ko'd two Harlem sensations Eddie Dorsey, and Leo Johnson in 1 and 2 rounds.
Was reputed to name rhe round to ko most any opponent, but had to ease up to not scare away future opponents
Was the "best fighter". Lou Stillman ever saw, including Ray Robinson...ALL TIME GREAT..
