Tiny gloves are relatively fair for both parties (Foreman was never a master glove-blocking technician anyway, and Fitz's defence was built around tiny gloves or bareknuckles).

    Who wins?

Foreman sends Fitzsimmons to the hospital for a couple of days unless the referee stops the beating in round 1.

I agree with his size and power that Foreman would catch Fitz, but I dont see it happening as early as rd.1

    Foreman doesn't stand a chance.

    Fitz is a 167.

I cannot picture anything other than a complete mauling here.

By his own admission, Jeffries was simply too big and strong for Fitz to handle. Foreman was considerably slower than Jeff, so the Cornishman might get into the later rounds. However, he wouldn't make George exert himself much in doing so, and Foreman would eventually put Fitz down for the count. If Robert couldn't hurt his opponent, he could have a rough time of it. He did decision George Gardner over 20 rounds just after he turned 40 to claim the LH Title, so he could box for a decision win, but George would nail Fitz sooner or later, then it would be over quickly.

Foreman might break his hands, that's probably Fitz's best chance.

Doubt it KO1 though, probably pretty early but Fitz was game and hard as nails.

Foreman would hurt him early. Granted, there isn't much footage of Fitz, but there's still enough footage and basic info to be able to safely assume Foreman would batter and drop Fitzsimmons. Foreman is always going to be a terrible match up for anyone much smaller than him who isn't exceptionally quicker at keeping away, handspeed, and headmovement.

Hard to say, since as strong as Foreman is his power can be neutralized if you don't stand straight in front of him, so Fitzsimmons beating Foreman by decision isn't out of the question considering Fitzsimmons fought and beat guys Foreman's size before.

Also, I see a lot of people saying Jefferies was too big for Fitzsimmons, which wasn't the case. The major issue for Fitzsimmons in the Jeffries fight was his age, since he was almost 40.

Yup I think Jeffries-considering he was skilled-was too big for Ruby Red.
I do not hear evidence that he was significantly declined at near 40.
Fitz sets traps & smashes people. Fitz is somewhat smaller than Young, & was not an elusive boxer.

Anybody that much smaller would have a massive disadvantage.
He was RJJ size-without that blinding speed & great reflexes.
Would you give RJJ, as a SHW-or any weight, he was slower at HW-any significant chance against Foreman?

I think it was more that no matter how much punishment he dished out, he just couldn't put a dent in Jeffries. Jeffries had much better stamina than Foreman, but Foreman hit much much harder.

I think if Fitz was somehow to win it'd be by KO

Fitz had pretty good skills. He wasn't a reflexive freak, but do you really think he could have hammered Jeffries for as many rounds as he did without decent defence? He was well schooled from Jem Mace, but seemed to develop a style of his own that seems to have been considered rather unorthadox at the time, but very effective. When the likes of Gans, McCoy and Gene Tunney all lavished praise on his intelligent fighting, Tunney calling him the P4P greatest. Jack Johnson also ranked him as the greatest as the heavyweight champions (he excluded himself). When such a desperate group lavish praise on you, you've got to be doing somethig right.

I don't think it'd be enough for him to win, but he deserves credit.
