Old Fighters compared to 80's-to now fighters

    also, one thing i forgot to mention the thing about the records which alot of people that are new to boxing keep misunderstanding. alot of todays fighters sport padded records or are undefeated for awhile, while alot of the fighters from the past have alot of losses in their records especially great fighters. imo their are usually 2 reasons for this. 1. fighters back then were more active and fought more times in a year than fighters today. back then they could get6-7 fights or more in a year compared to only 2-3 today.2. alot of the losses particularly from atg's form the past came after they're prime and when in need of money. alot of them came from poverty and reached celebrity status and blew all of their money living the high life. i know it seems i'm defending the old timers, but just going with facts. great examples are joe louis and ray robinson. HBO not too long ago had a documentary on louis's money problems.

    They didnt have to go to opposite corners when someone was knocked down back then, thats why dempsey looked so savage, he took full advantage of that, matter fact hes the one who changed that rule.
