    Who takes it?

Foreman from the cooney fight until the the moorer fight vs frazier from the mathis fight until the foreman fight.

    Who wins and how?

I've aways wondered this myself. I lean towards Foreman stopping him dramatically after losing the first few rounds... maybe... he's just a terrible style matchup for Frazier.

Stylistically Old Foreman seemed to be much straighter with his punches which would be less effective against the bob and weave style.

But he still has the power to end joe at any point and even if he just lands one flush 1-2 I think it could be all over.

Not to mention Frazier's physical, inside-orientated style never really worked against Foreman, who managed to push him around with relative ease, forcing him onto the backfoot. I can't see that changing here, as soon as Foreman pushes him back to get space to unload with his big shots, it's all over I think.

Frazier would soak up a few punches from old George early on but would knock the senior Foreman out later in the fight.

That's the thing, I don't think he could soak up george's punches.

Aside from ali, who else has the chin to take his shots time after time?

I just think if foreman comes out swinging like he did against mm the round before he stopped him, I can't see frazier surviving

foreman would probably always beat joe. it's the single greatest styles make fights example i can think of

    ali would always beat foreman
    foreman would always beat frazier
frazier would (almost) always give ali hell

Frazier to fit, fast and fire-filled If Stewart can lump Foreman up and 5"7 Quawi landed often, I think Frazier by TKO 10

    Mismatch.

Young Frazier wins and it is not particularly competitive.

People almost seem to have a reality gap with regard to the older Foreman.

Yes his acomplishment in beating Moorer was marvelous, but there was an element of luck involved, and he lost to prety much every other world class oponent he faced.

Foremans win over Moorer, is probably the greatest win in the history of the heavyweight division given Foremans age, but to favour this ancient fighter over a prime all time great is the triumph of sentiment over reality.

I disagree about the age thing with George. George wasn't damaged
like other fighters. His age didn't slow him down. He was so much heavier
in his comeback. Joe should take advantage of George's slower pace
and get shots in and get out.

I agree that he aged well, but he was loosing to fighters who he would have destroyed in his prime!

Can you imagine putting Tommy Morison in with the Foreman of the Frazier fight for example?

the style matchup would always be there. Frazier was so pumped up but Foreman would be so strong. It could not last very long that is for sure.

Moorer would probably have been a quick knockout victim for either Frazier or Foreman, at their respective peaks.

Full respect to Foreman for beating him when he did, but it has to be put in context.
