I think Deontay will have problems with Foreman's jab but Foreman will be able to handle Deontay's. I think that will kind of dictate the winner.
Wilder is really tall and rangy. If Wilder can stay away and use the jab he can win a UD. If Foreman cuts him off though, or if Wilder tries to get brave, it's lights out. Big George by KO.
Any version of Foreman beats Wilder. Foreman basically fought in 2 of the greatest eras in heavyweight history, the 70's and 90's. Wilder is good, but Idk how he'd do with a prime Moorer, Mercer, or even a Cooper. They wouldn't be sitting targets like Stiverne was, that's for sure.
Foreman would be outboxed easily. Too slow, too crude. Old fat Foreman was way worse than Stiverne who lost to Wilder.
And Foreman looked like utter sh** in the 90s. Landed a lucky punch on glass jawed LHW Moorer -- after losing 9 rounds in a one-sided fight. Then lost a robbery to Eurobum Shultz -- who got clobbered with 3 knockdowns by a 23 year old Wlad Klitschko in the same decade. Then Foreman ducked an IBF mandated rematch vs. Shulz, dropped the belt and what did he do? Fought Briggs for some paper-trinked by the WBF and lost a SD :rofl:rofl Foreman was a great fighter in the 70s, but the last stretch of his comeback was a gigantic joke. And it speaks volumes of the highly questionable quality of the 90s HW era. How on earth did guys like fat 45 year old Foreman and nobodies like Axel Shulz get title shots in the first place? That alone is proof of a weak era.
But Wilder looks like sh*t now. My money would definitely have been on George, even the 90's one. George could take Wilder's shots, but not vice versa. The 90's era was much stronger than this one. Wilder's only the champ because he beat Stiverne, who himself only beat Arreola for the vacant title. I think Wilder would have been a stepping stone in the 90's. Big George would easily be a top ten guy today, considering that Fury's considered the 3rd/4th best HW on the planet, and a guy like Tony Thompson's can make the list.
He'd probably have walked him down. I missed Wilder's last fight, but he looked awful against Molina. I'd also have taken George to have beaten the likes of Stiverne and Arreola.
